I drive civic, I go 150km/h, I crash into multiple cars, I run away from cops, and I get home and do it in assetto corsa
accidentaly bought it never played since, unplayable without a wheel
If you have some spare time to download mods I would 100% recommend this game. Out of the box, it's still really fun, but once you experience the game with graphics, it's truly on another level. The best way to describe it is that you can basically choose to make your game however you want, whether it be graphics, cars or maps. You can drift your real life car in the backrooms with photorealistic graphics if you want
basically the best game you can buy if you want to get into simracing.
This series has become the go-to racing sim MUGEN for user-made cars and tracks. It's not too complicated to set up, though I wouldn't recommend playing seriously against the AI because they aren't fun to drive against most of the time. This is more of a time trial or online multiplayer kind of game... Oh yeah and you probably want a racing wheel for this. This one doesn't play well with a gamepad.
Great car sim for racing. Goes a solid 120 fps for my pc and hasn't crashed on me. Overall a great game 10/10!
Need for Speed Underground lit the spark. Han poured gasoline on it. Assetto Corsa keeps the fire burning.
Great sim racing game, great DLCs and easy to mod. I play with a controller.
As a beginner in Assetto Corsa, with only a few hours played, I can already tell why so many racing fans still respect this game. At first, it feels simple — but once you start driving, you realize how deep the physics and handling really are. The cars feel realistic, and every turn, brake, and acceleration matters. It’s not an arcade racer; it actually pushes you to learn and improve. What I liked so far: ✔ Realistic driving physics and handling ✔ Great variety of cars and tracks ✔ Strong force feedback and immersion ✔ Feels rewarding when you improve ✔ Huge modding community keeps the game alive ✔ Still looks decent even after many years The weaker parts: ✘ Not beginner-friendly at first ✘ Can feel difficult if you’re used to arcade racing games ✘ UI and menus feel outdated ✘ Base game content can feel limited without mods ✘ Some setups and tuning can be confusing for new players From what I’ve seen in Steam and community discussions, most players love the physics and mod support, but many agree the game shows its age in UI, accessibility, and content structure. A lot of people say mods are what make this game truly shine. So far, Assetto Corsa feels less like just a racing game and more like a driving simulator where skill actually matters. It has a learning curve, but once it clicks, it becomes incredibly satisfying. A tough start, but a very promising experience. Recomended
