Aggressors: Ancient Rome

OK here i am again writing a review 5 years late. Picked up Imperiums Greek Wars recently and then noticed i had this title from the same dev, Aggressors Ancient Rome sitting untouched in my library, thought i better give this earlier title a go first. I'm glad i did, its a solid Civ style, but more war focus, indie game, with a lot more depth than you realise at first. No bugs, no crashes, plays flawlessly. There are a couple of QoL improvements i would liked to have seen to help manage the lategame, but other than that its a definite recommendation. My "give it a go" turned into a 50 hour investment. Looking forward to trying out the Greek one now.

Aggressors ist toll! Es hat ein sehr schönes Tutorial und ich kam schnell ins Spiel rein! Ich spiele als Rom und es macht mir sehr viel Spaß! Richtig toll, den geistigen Vorgänger von Imperiums zu besitzen und zu spielen! I just bought the game today, thinking I'd quickly check that everything works before shutting down my PC. Almost six hours later, I had to force myself to turn it off. It's truly a 'one more turn' kind of strategy. I hadn't planned on it, but after those six hours, I ended up buying their newer game called Imperiums: Greek Wars as well. Good work, devs! I hope to write a more detailed review later on.

well... It is just Total War Rome but with less content and without the awesome battles . Cities have very little upgrades and some mechanics are hard to understand. Has a nice tutorial though. Because i have played Rome Total War i find it very hard to get into this game without getting bored . Response to the devs. I might revisit it some time in the future 😊

I bought it because it was on sale, and I've played it for just a couple of hours, but I can say it's a pretty good game. The mechanics are quite deep, and it will take time to understand them. For a small indie developer team, it's a pretty impressive achievement to create a game like this. Good job!

Çok fazla derinliği ve detayı olan Strateji 4X, kesin deneyin.

I like strategy games and I played many. Among my favourites are some published by Slitherine like Field of Glory: Empire. However the developers are vastly different. In this case I really don't like how it feels to play the game. My time is very short, but I've spend more time on the sucessor game focusing on Greece, which I also don't enjoy.

FYI: Crashes at launch on Linux, even with Proton.
