There are some great ideas here, but unfortunately they are buried behind some of the most tedious grinding I have ever encountered. Be prepared to spend hours upon hours running the same dungeons over and over again to power level your character enough to stand a chance in the next dungeon. Get swarmed over and over again by endlessly regenerating trash mobs that give tiny slivers of XP. Get no loot for all these extra runs, because you collected it all the first time. Spend hours collecting ingredients and then playing the crafting minigames where the first 100 attempts or so to craft any item will fail before your skill ranks increase enough to even have a chance of getting something. If the game was rebalanced to remove this grind, it would be genuinely fun. Right now it's just tedious.
Great game. Totally unbalanced and it's very easy to break the game with any build. The dialogues are cheesy, but the gameplay is great. Very fun to play while listening to a podcast or watching a video.
As wide as an ocean, as deep as a puddle. This game has loads of content but is very shallow for an RPG. It's a fine game if you want to turn your brain off and kill some mobs. However, the level design isn't really "open world", with tons of locked doors you need to go through a maze to get to the other side and open. And the character building is very shallow, even if there are many options to choose from. The only upgrades you really get just add damage.
If the thought of playng Diablo on Super Nintendo seems enticing to you then give this game a try.
I just finished 9th dawn 3 and 1-remastered, both super good games. They have some of my favorite genres and put them together in a good way. Arpg, Pokemon, Skills based (like elder scrolls), and party based RPG. If there was a more developed version of these that looked like d2 resurrected or like POE2 i wouldn't play another game. the only thing that could make these better is to remove level caps. But yeah play them all
why can I write a review do I own this game What
Meh... I don't recommend this game unless you LOVE double-backing repeatedly. I *really* wanted to love this game... I really tried but ultimately, the dungeons are boring, slow, tedious and too maze like. You have to constantly backtrack in order to go up, cross the map, go down, then down, the cross the map then take the proper turns to climb the propper ladder to pull the lever you saw 40 minutes ago. The rub: every time you go up or down (which you will do OFTEN), ***ALL*** of the mobs that you killed spawn back. In other words, the dungeons and the world itself are just one, long, boring, winding, annoying maze. This is NOT open world but more a series of corridors that you need to navigate, while constantly getting lost in as you try to remember how to get to that danged place you wanted to go to 30 minutes ago. If it wasn't for those idiotic, moronic, boring, tedious maze levels, this would be a good skill-based RPG. But alas, I find the corridor like world and dungeons to be an incredible waste of my time. This game has NO respect for my time, therefor, I have no respect to give it. Oh.. On increased difficulty, the bosses are nothing but sponges. They will soak up all your damage and it could take 10mins to kill one; but not in a fun way.
I picked this game up when I was stuck to gaming on a laptop for a while, of all the games I picked up during that period, this is the only one that gripped me enough to keep playing afterwards. I've done my best to 100% dungeons as I went along, and spent a fair amount of time investing into the crafting skill trees. I'd say I've probably only hit the halfway mark in terms of collecting and crafting everything, after about 50 hours on this character. It's been a great time turning my brain mostly off and just grinding, it always feels satisfying to plough through a group of enemies that at one point gave you a bit of trouble. I haven't even touched the roguelike mode either. I definitely recommend picking this up if you wanna capture that old school feeling of going from nothing to a god in 30 hours or so.
Perty good!
this is straight up drova with creature taming with up to twenty active pets at one time after you level up the skill by first leveling up cooking with apple juice and eventually selling boring broth gettin cash then buying monster bait and dropping it around mobs levels it up and then its just spamming bait and traps and boom fun multiplayer experience i cant believe a gem of this quality has been hidden in the rough and i havent found it until now. nicely done dev, i wish i had ten more games like this god its good its so good maybe one of the best or the best indie imo fr ty. (i wish there was a sort function for the pet list only complaint and its a pretty small one.) up to thirty active pets with two player and npc companion its crazy.
