Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 13 → 0.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

dont play anything other than smallest new planet RMG with 12 players all randomized on extreme or the game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tedious boredom. As far as a 4x goes, on any larger sized map, your tech tree will be finished before you even find anyone (it is indefensible how little research is needed), and there is NEVER a need to build anything greater than trash starter units. You can literally research, build, fire, and defend your doomsday auto-win victory weapon BEFORE your starter army walks in a straight line around the world back to your capitol (or do the same without ever meeting anyone). Special shout out to the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ idiots that designed campaign quests with time-limits when the same lazy ♥♥♥♥♥ decided to make campaign maps randomly generated. (have fun getting somewhere 10 turns away with a 7 turn quest timer ((the "invasions" campaign really exemplifies this ingenious design approach)) Future quests can be inherently unable to be completed, but you wont find that out until you've wasted time.

This game may not be to everyone's taste due to its exotic mix of fantasy and sci-fi. The scenarios are varied, as are the units and hero developments, though some elements feel a bit unbalanced. The story is rather meager, but the empire development is all the more exciting and motivating. The ability to make new developments and build up your empire gives the game significant replay value. The learning curve is relatively high at first, but you quickly grasp the essentials (thanks also to the wiki). The difficulty level is moderate for turn-based games, though creating your own AIs, for instance, can make it very challenging. If you are looking for a turn-based game with construction and research along with separate combat mechanics, this game will serve you well.
It just leaves me cold. The tarrain is monotonous, the tasks are monotonous, the buildings are monotonous. Lots of clever little ideas, but it lacks something.
Absolute chore to play. Very poor game and UX design.
This game is really fun to play, even though it took me long time to invest the right time into it, to understand my ways. You dont need any mods, its rich of story and the turn based fights are very fun. I like the different approaches of the different races and their style to win... or loose the game :-) In a sale its pretty cheap to grab and it will grant you alot of hours of fun. One point feels really cool and remind me on the AOW series the most - levening up the heroes and their equipment! Its amazing to see how they get stronger and attain an enhanced playstyle with a developing skilltree. Thumbs up, you cant really fail on this one.
I cant believe that I have not written a review for this. This is a fun game. Planet fall is a 4x strategy game with a focus more on combat rather than city building. The combat itself is better than the usual 4x city strategy expansion games. In fact, the combat is enjoyable. One of my few complaints about Civilization 6 is that there were no giant maps anymore. This is not a problem with Planetfall the maps are huge. It does take some time to get used to the resource management. It is on steam now for $30 which is a fair price. It is complex enough to get a few years out of it.
NAH Im fine with science fiction... but I grew up on fantasy RPG and regular civilization games. I understand mana, damage, defense, turns, culture points and the like.. this game is way less streamlined and then just a jumble of about 1000000 different symbols and keywords and turn functions. lets click a unit. QUASER unit. Quaser notes: - if on PHOTON step of turn, Quaser can apply 4 MIND BEND points against (SQUIGGLE PICTURE) for every 3 VULTURE points target NON OVERLORD has. This can be used on (UPSIDE DOWN SHIELD PICTURE). Only 3 times during your CULTURAL ADAPTATION STEP. -Apply 6 RESIDENCY towards your STAR-REACH, CULMINATION matched against how many (BLUE STAR SYMBOL) any PARASITE OVERLORD COMMUNITY has. - WIND MARCH 3 if on ENVIRONMENTAL landmass. This will apply 4 DIPLOMATIC NON AGGRESSION points to your COMMUNITY OVER-REACH. Game 3 (UPRIGHT SHIELD) at end of ANIMALISTIC PHASE 2. on and on and on and on and on who knows what your supposed to be doing or whats going on... I mean I do. At end of day its a tedious build and conquer game.. So Im sure I could get by. Just the devs went way too hard on adding convoluted cool sounding futuristic terms and parts of the game. If you really want to geek out and spend a half a day with your reading glasses on sloshing through all the rulesets then this might be a 4x game for you. In the future if Im going to start a new tedious and convoluted game... Ill choose a genre where I already understand the vocabulary ( ie fantasy setting or modern english)
This is an even more basic version of Age of Wonders 4. I played it multiplayer with my husband. At 4 hours I stopped playing it. I just couldn't do it anymore. It lacks complexity, challenge, and appeal. I wasn't having fun and everything times a really long time to move forward. I'm disappointed in Age of Wonders 4 and Planetfall. I used to love AOW in the past, but ever since 2, it hasn't been the same. It feels like a different developer. There is so much potential, but that would mean thinking. This game is like a Potemkin version of an actual 4x. It makes me sad. I tried to get a refund, but they said if you play past 2 hours, you can't get a refund. Don't be a sucker.
The game likes to freeze for auto combat, it likes to freeze on loading screens, and it likes to freeze on enemy turns. Honestly this game is borderline unplayable. It's also an older game and these issues have been around for years with no fix. I would avoid this game, it's just not worth the headache.
