Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 13 → 0.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
I had all previous versions of this game and loved them. They changed to a grid system for this one, making landscape borders somewhat meaningless. The fighting style changed with the removal of castle walls and the addition of spaced cover and perils such as gas tanks. The economic system is more complicated. Never really got into this one.
With its stunning visuals and engaging story, "Age of Wonders: Planetfall" offers a truly immersive experience.

A more enjoyable game than Civ: Beyond Earth, although not as refined in its aesthetics, which it makes up for in sheer variety of factions. There's an abundance of rock-paper-scissors gameplay that keeps you on your toes throughout what can at times feel like a chore of a progression system. Music is serviceable with a few great tracks, graphics are splendid on the map but lackluster in combat. XCOM-style combat is barebones regarding movement but refreshing enough to keep you going. All in all a good time can be had, however, it's certainly not for everyone.
I love Civilization, I love XCOM. Supposedly, it would've been great if someone blended those two games together and created a new game. Age of Wonders: Planetfall is just such a game. And at the beginning you think that you've got the best of both worlds. However, the turn-based combat becomes a chore after the first couple of fights. The maps are procedurally generated and are similar to one another. The units are strange. The zoom level is either too detailed or too small. And because combat holds you from progressing further, you just want to get over with it, and you don't feel too guilty when your units get killed. The Civ part initially looked good, but then you get the feeling that you're playing a knock-off. The tech tree is convoluted, the map has too many things going on it, you don't get the feeling you get with the Civ of the need to expand fast and take over the world. In the end I had to conclude that instead of playing a knock-off hybrid of Civ and XCOM with a banal plot, you'd be better off playing Civ and XCOM separately instead.
This is probably my favorite entry in the Age of Wonders franchise. I like the change in setting and sci-fi element that they tried to bring to the table. While AOW4 has many features that bring quality of life to the table, it just feels slightly more sterile when you compare it to Planetfall. The AI is a bit dense and will not respect your territorial boundaries, but the unit comustimazation, voiced tech tree, and setting make it worth the time and energy. It's just fune.
After 500 hrs on record, this game is the best and ever best. The Galactic Empire system is very cool , I dont know why other game have not it XD
It seems like i'm the minority in this but I like this game more than AOW 4.

Love age of wonders, miss age of wonders III. This is poop from a butt. Total dog doo with a cover mechanic slapped on. Nothing makes me hate a game more than a tacked on cover mechanic, and this game really didn't need it.
