Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.29/day in the week to Aug 8 → 1.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

removing content from the game is "off-topic" Steam? my ass i paid for an experience i treasured on my first playthrough of the game, and now i can no longer re-experience slashed content as of the announcement the Devs made back on July 21st, 2021- removing key cutscenes from the game entirely, instead of just leaving things be with a toggle to skip them if people really wanted to if it ain't broke, don't fix it- they tried to fix a narrative that didn't need it to begin with
I really didn't want to buy this game, because the mentally challenged developers decided to censor it, turning it into soulless garbage. Despite my best efforts I couldn't find an "alternative" way to play the uncensored version, because the game just wouldn't work. Unfortunately I had to give these scumbags my money and jump through hoops to uncensor the game. The game was an absolute masterpiece until one day the devs collectively had a psychotic episode and decided that it's okay to remove pretty much the whole story of the game because of the "sensitive times we live in". If we live in "sensitive times", would you please remove the red dudes who are trying to kill a black protagonist? It's very racist, and racism is a big no-no. While you're at it, please remove all the guns, because you can use them to do pew pew stuff and kill the red guys, which is a crime. Please, we deserve better. If you want to learn more about this controversy, i suggest reading this article. Fortunately for all the consumers, who had their game ruined by the glue huffing idiots on the dev team, there is a solution. Steam lets users downpatch their games, meaning you can download and play the uncensored game. Here's a short tutorial: 1. Press Windows + R 2. Type steam://open/console 3. In the console, type download_depot 617830 617831 1718632565497690274 and wait until it says it's done 4. Go to \Steam\steamapps\content\app_617830\depot_617831 5. Replace all files in \steamapps\common\SUPERHOT VR with the files you just downloaded 6. Enjoy! It's great that you can still play the uncensored version, but you shouldn't have to do it because a bunch of clowns decided that they know what's best for you. Thank you for coming to my ted talk.

I used to say this was the best game for VR, but I can no longer recommend you buy the game from Steam, as the Steam version has had vital content cut and no longer recommend you purchase it here. I would recommend you find and play a version from prior to 2021, although Steam is not currently selling it on this storefront.
"You deserve better." Yes, I deserve better than a developer who removes actually evocative scenes from their game due to "current times" after having a perfectly understandable toggle to skip them if they were too dark for your liking. ♥♥♥♥ off. It is understandable to offer the opportunity to avoid it for those who have a history with self-harm. It is not understandable to abruptly remove them from the game and then tote yourself as heroes.
The Company retroactively removed content from the game after I paid for it. This is a terrible business practice and companies making these decisions should be avoided like the plague. I used to recommend this game, but I'm retroactively taking that away now.
The game was good. It had a narrative. It had a story. Now the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥ ass developers removed it. Now the game makes no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sense. ♥♥♥♥♥ ass ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ developers honestly.
Dev team ruined a good game years after its release because they gave in to some non existant politically correct nonsese. Grow up. You made a VR game, you aren't changing the life of anyone.
I can't in good faith support a game who's developers actively censored it into oblivion. No matter the reason; censorship is terrible and destroys art, end of story
The developers of this game removed scenes alluding to suicide post release, even though there was already a setting to disable them for those who felt uncomfortable with their inclusion. I don't like being told what content I am and am not allowed to experience because the developers got cold feet after the fact. At this point the devs should remove any acts of violence as well as those also relate to bodily harm.
