Hey, you just died. But don't worry! All the major religions were wrong! Instead of ascending to a new plane of existence, you are now self-employed in the Afterlife with your own haunted house to run. Keep people just scared enough to keep believing in you, but not enough to alert the local authorities.

It's kinda buggy, but nothing game breaking. The price is great. I would say it is a decent purchase.
♥♥♥♥♥ не понятно.
In a way, it is Internet history. In another way, it was an honest attempt at something nice. But most importantly of all is that this is an astonishingly terrible game.
Afterlife Empire is a cute little indie style game, with an interesting concept for a new take time management and constuction genere. The concept is cute, you're a newly dead person who has to gather scare energy in order to remain on this mortal coil. You gather scare energy from humans who dare tread on your haunting grounds and woe to he or she who enters the building you've chosen for your haunt. You spend your eternity freaking out visitors, and decorating your home to best suit your new more morbid aesthetic. Life (or death) isn't all fun and games though, you do have to terrify truly troublesome trespassers such as Grannie the Exorcist, Policeman Phil, and various scouts from This Old (haunted) House who want to redo your decor into something truly hideous! Controls: The controls are a bit clunky, with no way that I could find to remap arrows to ASWD which I would recommend. Scrolling requires moving mouse from one edge to the other, which can be a bit cumbersome. Visuals: Sprites are cute, but Playing in fullscreen with high-res monitor this game in normal window makes the sprites and construction grid appear tiny. When expanded to full screen there's no way to fully zoom out to get the whole field or 80% of the field in the screen, requiring multiple mouseovers to slide back and forth across the whole play area. Issues: Item Placement & Movement of Already Placed Decorations and Traps Although the game does allow for movement of placed items should you decide to relocate your barrel of blight, or your perfectly potted plant, sometimes instead of moving the item you delete it, which does not give you back any of the points you spent to place it. Trap Cost: Also Traps are incredibly expensive to place within your home on early levels, which makes for a good limiting factor, but it would have been nice to see some cheap low-level traps that might collect 5 or 10 fright instead of 20, but which are availble earlier on. Without setting up traps within the home to collect fright while out roaming the grounds there can be a lot of missed opportunity if you don't scroll back. Ineffective Traps: Sometimes when Exorcists enter the building and encounter a trap, it doesn't seem to impact the Exorcists at all, and they drain fright quicker than you can get back to your haunting to manually scare them away. Game Crashes: While trying to redecorate and move some of my traps, the game froze and crased on me multiple times. No Auto Save Feature: Game does not auto save, so if you forget to save frequently and the game crashes, you can lose a lot of progress.
This is a fun little game. Has some issues to work out, but nothing "game breaking" in my opinion, it really would be great on my Android though. I hope the mod community picks this up and adds morre content. For $5 I could play this for several hours and come back a day or two later to paly again.
Cute game. I'm a big fan of Haunting (Genesis) and Ghost Master and I was hoping it would be similar. Game is fun for wasting a few minutes. It would work a lot better on a mobile platform. I like the visual style and the NPC responses are pretty funny. The music gets pretty annoying and I usually turn it off. User Interface and User Experience needs some work, tooltips would help, or at least a better tutorial. Just an example of how the UX could be improved, there were a few times I thought my game locked up, when in fact, it was only because I selected a different section than the ghost. Some indicator that the game is paused would help. I played this on a Mac and there were a few lock-ups (or at least I think they were..again, hard to tell with the UI/UX). Even so, I'm having fun with the game, but there's undoubtably a large room for improvement. Be wared, I've heard this game has its share of game-breaking bugs, but I haven't experienced any, so hopefully they've sorted all that out.
Interesting and rather unique setup, easy to get a feel for, and fun. There are a few bugs that are probably going to be fixed in the near future, but that's expected for a $5 new indie game in the first place.
This game is pure ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, but at least you aren't Anthony Burch.
