Hey, you just died. But don't worry! All the major religions were wrong! Instead of ascending to a new plane of existence, you are now self-employed in the Afterlife with your own haunted house to run. Keep people just scared enough to keep believing in you, but not enough to alert the local authorities.

Altough it has some graphic glitches, potentional this game has is great. Managing your own haunted place ?!?! Awesome, right! Graphic is between Sims and Hospital Tycoon, pretty enjoyablle and catchy to the eye. Sound is ok, music get's a little boring after hour of playing, but screams are never enough, you should just hear that grandma' scream ^^ Gameplay, as I said it has great potentional to be casual favorite and addicting game, but still need some polishing to be done. Enough of props and abilities to keep you playing this for quite some time. Overal: It is fun, it is worth trying, especially to tycoon or simulation genre fans. Graphic 5/10 (will change after glitches are gone) Sound 7/10 Gameplay 7/10
The game is good in theory and unrefined in practice. Not bad for a highschool kid's senior year project. A bit more work and it'd be pretty legit. Update: Turns out this is Autobotika's fault. Nice job screwing this one up and abandoning it guys. Condolences to Danielle Maiorino who has taken some of the blame.
Basically a fun game and a nice idea, but with problems, which are needed to be fixed. Pro: + funny idea + many objects to model the house + the futher u go the more diffrent kind of characters will visite ur house Con: - often stops working (about every 30min.) - when in building mode u cant move the screen around, so u need to leave, reposition it and then reenter the mode - cant use old scares after gaining a new one - cant mute game in main menu - cant move items once placed or rotate them Except for the crashing, its not to bad, but there are still many things disturbing the gameplay. Maybe the bugs and little problems are going to be patched sometime in the future. But at the moment its not the money worth.
Pro: -Fun and addictive, like a freemium game sans wait-gaming -Funded by Gamergate -Vivian James Con: -Excessively high physical memory usage for god knows why -Constant crashes -A fraction of a percentage of the profits fund Feminist Frequency -Good luck getting Vivian to show up This is by all means a fun game, but you should hold off on it. Wait a while for them to do something about the nonstop crashing, and buy it on sale to minimize Anita's cut.
Nope. As much as I like the concept, the game is just too buggy for me to recommend it. Buttons on the menu overlap due to scaling issues. I had to resolve this by running the game in a window and stretching it until I found a sweet spot. Multiple lines of dialogue in the tutorial are cut off, again because of the scaling issue. I can't get past a bug in which I earn a new ability, and am unable to use any but the newest. This makes the game unwinnable. A shame. I think there's a good game underneath the mess.
If you are a friend of Vivian or her worst enemy, this game is still fun. it's buggy as hell but have fun with it. midst reoporters, exorcists and police this game is a ghost house/balancing act between keeping people aware of your existance to stay alive, and not drawing too much attention in order to avoid losing your only link to the world of the living. with total mod support, copyright-lite, you can change if if you don't like it. own the game to get better karma in the world.
Pros: + Cool general idea: harvest puny humans's fears and tears, expand your horrific empire - concept befitting for a nice tycoon-a-like game, that's what I thought bying it. Cons: - Unfinished. Forever, probably. - Boring gameplay: wait for an exorcist, scare him away, repeat. Wait for the cops, then scare them away too. Essentially, its all about dragging the map around and clicking one single button. From time to time you'll gather enough "scare energy" to place down some posessed barrels, vases or dust filled bags which scare civilians automagically, with a lower fear yeild, but that's all. I think authors could have done much more with this idea, but they didnt, for some reason. - Buggsy. Interface randomly became unresponsive, dialog boxes with randomly cropped text or no text at all. Resume: probably do not worth neither time, nor money :(
While this was fun for a minute, it never felt finished, and the lack of communication from the devs did not help the situation.
This game was incredibly confusing to me in the beginning, mainly because the tutorial glitched out. I was left on my own to figure out how to spend points, make my house, and scare people. After 3 tries I finally got the tutorial to work to the point where it told me how to build rooms, this was incredibly helpful and I advanced to round 3 in that run. Then the game froze; music still worked but everything was frozen. I shut it down and restarted my save from just after round 1. Now everytime I load that file it freezes in less than a minute. In order to play the game more I will have to start a new game, trudge through all the tutorial text again (or miss any helpful bonus (like a new room) that I recieved in it, and pray that it doesn't freeze like the last one. At this point, I am just trying to complete the achievements but I don't even know if that's possible anymore. Overall?: +Great game. It's a unique concept and the visuals are cute as well. It has the potential to be interesting and fun. -The controls are horrible. Everytime I have to click on the shop my camera moves and I had to figure out how to move in in the pause screen. Let me explain, when you are in "ghost mode," which is when you scare people and watch people get scared by your traps, you move the camera (which does not rotate) by dragging your mouse to the edge of the screen. When you are in shop/edit mode, which is when you click on the shop to buy/place anything, you have to hold down the right mouse button and drag the screen. Because this was so different from "ghost mode" it took me quite a while to figure out. -Crashes and corrupted save files. I already explained this but I can no longer access my save. -Reptetive. Every unique character, such as "Exorcist" "Police Officer" or "Girl Teen," has the same look and sayings as the multiple copies running around. It gets a bit tiring after a while. I can't say that there isn't more variety in late game, as I am unable to get there, but I would like to see more variety in the little snippets of text if nothing else. Until the bugs are fixed I cannot reccomend this game.
At a technical level game doesn't feel finished. Menus are overlaid over other menus, I couldn't quit the game, traps couldn't be placed (and I couldn't find a clear reason why based on the UI) and the initial gameplay loop isn't terribly gripping. Could be entertaining for kids since they'll love the premise but I wouldn't recommend it beyond that.
