Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I've played a lot of Slay the Spire (1 and 2) and saw this game. I read some reviews and decided to try it out. I really like Slay the Spire. I like Across the Obelisk even more. I've got 60 hours and I've only started scratching the surface of the game. It's been an absolute blast. (I just have the original game, none of the DLC).

I CAN NOT recommend this game at all after all of the DLCs they released that are just as much as the game itself! I loved the game when it first came out but after Paradox Interactive acquired the game it has been a landslide of just terrible decisions.
This has got to be one of my favorite deck builder game out there. There's an absurd amount of content just in the base game that's able to get you *at least* 100+ hours if you actually decide to try experiencing everything. Each character feels unique and has multiple playstyles which gives a lot of replayability on top of not being limited to a specific team comp. Want to do 4 warriors? 2 Scouts 2 Healers? All mages and promptly evaporate? Its fully up to you and it's just a ton of fun figuring out ways to just be dumb. Compared to the base game DLC is pricey but because of the sheer amount of game you get off rip, I've been buying the DLC just so I can get more options and to support the creators, except for the skin packs since I don't care that much. The longer the game is out the more experience the devs have gotten to learn what people want and the quality of DLC has improved along side it. Early DLCs like The Wolf Wars, were pretty lack luster, but the DLC that has come after has been a lot more worth it, adding whole new areas, a whole new final act which is awesome, and of course new characters to mess around with and figure out how busted you can make a team with them. All in all I highly recommend this game, play it with some pals too, helps delegate team building so you're not stuck managing 4 characters.
This game was great and I pushed it on all of my friends and "supported the devs" buying the first few DLC. Unfortunately, publisher greed only worsened. Sadly, I think it's time to let die what was once truly a gem of a game. Crazy to think reviews were Overwhelming Positive upon release... impressive work Paradox.
Wanted to check the game after a long break, and see 15 DLCs with some even higher price than original game. What the hell man?
Game had potential but is just a paradox DLC farm at this point
been pushed away by the dlc situation and what i'm hearing is quite bad
The core of this game is excellent. There is a lot of fun to be had with everything the devs created. My group regularly comes back to this one and every time we have the same commentary: "It's a shame this game is now a Paradox game." My group has no issues with paying periodically for updates/DLC and there are many studios that do this in a way that doesn't feel like we are being squeezed constantly. For example, Gunfire Reborn, released in the same year, has DLC totaling $27.96 USD with constant updates and seasonal fun. Now compare that to Across the Obelisk: $99.88 USD and essentially no free updates except from before Paradox came in and the odd card or two added to the shared class card pool. This trend is what Paradox does to a game, it takes something successful and enshitifies it to squeeze the customer for as much cash as they can get away with. This has become one of those games. For some folks, this may not be a problem and if you are one of them then this is a great procedural deckbuilder with coop capabilities. For folks like myself, this turns my goodwill sour fairly quickly. When I saw that Paradox acquired the game in 2023 I knew what was going to happen... sure enough here we are. If I could have refunded the game then I may have seriously considered doing so. I say consider because I generally avoid refunding a game outside of it being literally unplayable on my system. So, with all of that said, I am leaving a not recommended review after seeing yet another full game price DLC with roughly 1/4 the content of the original game. The last couple years has only confirmed what I feared then, Paradox would push for their return on investment, and we'd be left with another hyper monetized game with excessive prices on minor DLCs.
Game was great, but now it’s been ensh*ttified.
