Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Used to love this game. Now it's almost unplayable because everything requires a DLC.
So right off the bat, the base game itself is phenomenal, especially with friends. There's a bunch of areas to explore with branching paths, the characters are all fairly varied and fun, usually leaning into one or two specific builds that synergize with their unique traits. There are a ton of cards and items to find, and with it being roguelite, even the same team lineup might end up functioning completely differently when you get to the lategame. Easily a game you could spend 80+ hours on if you want to unlock everything, and still continue having fun with team combinations. With that said, I cannot recommend this game, for two major reasons. The first is performance: The game can get really sluggish when a lot of things happen, and it'll occasionally desync during combat if you're playing multiplayer (but it usually fixes itself when this happens, so it's not critical). The real problem is mostly from the newest patch, which is absolutely crippled when playing multiplayer. There are a ton of bugs and unfixable desyncs, the most prominent that I saw being towns just not working. You'll buy one or two things, and then nothing works anymore and you'll have to remake the game because you can't even leave. The fix I found was to open game properties, go into Game Version & Betas, and changing to the 1.7.5.2 legacy version. But just the fact that they pushed the current version as official instead of a beta is absolutely insulting. The second is the DLC. It's hardly surprising from Firaxis, but it's still really disappointing to have to spend 60+ Euros on DLC that arguably offers less content combined than the base game came with, and the base game was not nearly that expensive even on release. At the very least, for the Sands of Ulminin, Shores of Sahti, and Necropolis of the Damned, only the game host has to own it for players to be able to access the zones, cards and items from them, but only people that own those DLCs will be able to use characters and buy pets unlocked in them. For a game that I loved and played 100+ hours of when it released, coming back and seeing what a mess it has become is really disappointing.

I've owned this game for quite a while. Bought it back in 2021, soon after it was released. Played 60+ hours before tabling it. Recently got the itch to come back and play it again. Almost immediately ran into in-game choices that require a DLC. OK, maybe I'll look at buying the DLC. Loved the game and always happy to support a developer for the good work they...what the hell? 14 DLCs? And even with the bundle discount they cost $80 after tax? Add to this the money I already spent on the game, and suddenly it's a $100 game? It's fun and well made, but $100+? No, I'm good. Time to table it again. Between this and Stellaris coming out with low-effort DLCs at full game price points, I believe it's time to avoid any Paradox games moving forward.
As a Paradox Interactive DLC collector, nothing will kill your game faster than if Paradox gets ahold of it. Anticipate horrible bugs that go unfixed for years, expensive bite-sized DLC that come out rapidly, disregard for what the fanbase really wants, and mismanagement and greed. I collect them because I feel incomplete without all DLC on a game, and it's almost a mental illness of some kind, but I beg you, I PLEAD with you, don't even pick up one of these games if you want the full content. Paradox will never stop squeezing everything they can out of their games, not until the developers are run out of development.
Honestly? Game is pretty good, one of my favourites so you will ask why i give a negative recommendation. It is very simple. De developers of this game, for some reason, break the game every single time they update, always desync problems and bugs that break multiplayer, devs have the courage to even post in the patchnotes that they fixed the bugs when it is not true at all.
I loved this game, have a ton of hours in it, but at this point in time I cannot in good conscience recommend it. What was once an incredible game with promise has lost it's charm due to mismanagement, baffling decisions, and a focus on overmonetizing while underdelivering. It got the Paradox treatment. Rest In Pepperoni
This game was really good a year or two ago. But nowadays, playing co-op is almost unplayable because of all the bugs. On top of that, the greed with DLCs is completely out of control. It’s really disappointing to see how much the game has declined.
I can't get anything out of the Paradox games anymore. They're getting more and more extreme. EVERY title they release is flooded with countless DLCs, you're bombarded with new material and basically pay yourself to death. I've got nothing against new content, but when it's foreseeable that a game will end up costing several hundred pounds, that's when I say, ‘No, thank you!’ This applies to all Paradox titles! The pattern is always the same. They're basically milking the cow dry.
This game use to be so fun and cool to play.. and then Paradox decided to stick their nose into it. Like, holy hell.. I hadn't played this for a while, like when the first DLC dropped was the last time I played it and I just booted it up with a friend to play it again. One of the first issues we spotted was we could come across options for DLC exclusive routes but couldn't use them because we don't own the DLC.. WHY IN THE HELL WOULD WE WANT TO SEE OPTIONS FOR THE DLC WE DON'T OWN AND CAN'T PICK?! and apparently, it's not just those but also card options as rewards that can have DLC only content too. That's so trash. You use to also be able to cut down your deck size lower then 15, my friend use to run a poison deck with like 8 cards total, apparently that is no longer an option and you have to have 15 cards min inside your deck at all times harming the ability to really play however you want by kneecapping the creativity of the players. I don't know when the changes happened or when exactly this game went to ♥♥♥♥ (def after we stopped playing right when the first DLC dropped), but no.. I use to think this game was worth recommending but with how everything has turned out with this game compared to how it started.. No, just buy Slay the Spire 2.
本体游戏性还可以,多人游戏也不错。可惜了利欲熏心,DLC疯狂出,价格高内容少,属实是吃香难看到爆炸了
