Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

all polish with zero substance whatsoever
The honest truth is that this game isn't very fun. The AI can attack all of your settlements without ever ending in turn within range of your armies. The only way to successfully play the game is to be so adept at battles that you can win even when outnumbered 2-1. There is no strategy involved. Just let your armies be attacked by superior forces and defeat them with your insane ability to click rapidly so that your armies are invincible.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 21: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I think i've given enough time for this game to pleasantly surprise me but it never did. There are a few cool ideas here and there, but it is a very lackluster experience in general. Hero dueling animations are cool, ancient Greece setting and Mythos is what interests me too. Art and decision to make skybox in a form of amphora painting is cool. Music, mix of traditional instruments with rock gives that 300 movie vibe. Resource barter and locking resources to regions is cool too. Aaaand that's about all the praise this game gets from me. All factions are looking and playing, for the most part the same, exception being Odysseus and Memnon(but he is a part of DLC). Game has an incredible amount of game breaking buggs with units being stuck and pathfinding in general is just horrible. I've reached the point where the game is somewhat enjoyable only because of installing mods and modding game myself.(which is outrageous). There's only one campaign shared by all factions. Honestly i could go on and on but i'll tell you this: If you want to play historical mode - play Rome 2. If you want to play "truth behind mythos" mode - play 3 Kingdoms with incredible political and friendship systems (which is yes, Asian setting but does this much better). And if you want to play "Mythological" mode - just play any Warhammer, it does everything better with X100 variety. In general, very disappointed that i bought this undercooked and stale cookie.
This is a weird one, though I did have fun with it. The game sits sort of in between a classic historical total war and Warhammer. There are hero units, and if you play the base game there are units inspired by mythology. Like the cyclops is a guy wearing an elephant skull. There is a dlc that turns the myth creatures into actual myth creatures, but it has bad reviews so we'll ignore that. While I did enjoy my time with the game for the most part, I do just have a couple complaints. Firstly there are way too many currencies in the game. You need food, wood, stone, bronze, and gold. Buildings will always use wood and stone, some will also use food and bronze and gold. Units will always need food, some will also need bronze or gold. I guess I'm just used to past total war games where resources gave bonuses to units but weren't explicitly required. Secondly, I have no clue how the game ends right now. I played Sparta, took back Helen, and conquered Troy. And the game just, doesn't end. At first I thought maybe it was like Shogun 2 and I have to hold Troy for a certain amount of time but, there was no message telling me so. The game just kept going and like every faction in the world declared war on me. All in all it's an okay Total War experience. There are far better Total War games, but there are also far worse.
this game was so bad, It made me question whether total war was good. shogun 2 saved me from death, Shogun 2 is my game. if shogun 2 has 0 fans, im dead. Total war Saga: TROY tries so hard to be a medieval two, but it turns out to be a warhammer 1. BOOOOO Shogun 2 is the best game, u want a good total war game? go play shogun 2
Didn't expect to like this game so much. I had written off new TW games after several I didn't like, but saw someone's positive review on a forum and figured I'd give it a try since it was on sale. It's extremely beautiful and the gameplay is surprisingly good. I played my first campaign as Odysseus and enjoyed it immensely. Now I'm back into TW. If you're on the fence, give it a try.
