Maybe it's just me, but in the historical Total Wars like this one the enemy AI cheating like hell at higher difficulties and spawning huge armies out of small rural villages is really, really boring, immersion ruining, and annoying. In the fantasy titles it can often be somehow explained, with a bit of imagination, but a small fishermen village arming thousands of men with armors and spears faster than i (as Sparta) can, and then feeding them and sending them off to my capital? LOL, come on. And since it's not cheap whatsoever, they should have brought naval combat back, even if it would have been a simple copy-paste from Rome II or Attila.
From the company that charges extra for a sprinkle of blood in their war games: A Tag War Saga: Thrace. Over a 100 turns in I never fought a single trojan. Playing as Achilles. Thrace is broken. Rhesus, the Jesus ressurrects every few turns with fresh stacks of chaff units that are near unbreakable and outmanouvers what little troops I can muster despite owning half of Greece, since Achilles' mood causes inflation somehow (I kid you not, that is an actual ingame mechanic for some reason). Achilles was mad and so was I. Ended up chasing thracians up and down the map while they burned my assets away until I decided that enough was enough. The most frustrating TW gameplaywise. I'm no expert but having played most TW games for years you can sense when something's off. The looks are there, the feels, it deceives you into thinking it's the real thing but in the end, like Patroclus this game for me ended up dying pretending to be what it was not. Achilles was sad and so am I.
Bad AI, very little content in terms of units, mythical units make no sense, unbalanced. Total war saga keeps getting worse...
AI is the same that it was 6 games ago. Innovation in a few aspects but the core of the gameplay is tired and out dated. I picked it up for $9 and it was worth that.
garbage
You can make the Trojan Horse with Odysseus
Araya kaynadı. TW serisini oynamayanlar adını bile duymamıştır.
Tbh its pretty mid. map is pretty tho :(
