About
Entities known as The Originals have lived for centuries, granted time, granted power, and the freedom to abuse both. That power is now owed.
Noa Brooklyn was born The Collector, raised by the Zaindaris for a purpose she did not choose: taking that power back.
Explore a handcrafted Amsterdam by day. At night, uncover what lies beneath its surface. Every facade carries a gablestone. Not all of them tell the truth.
The Originals walk among Amsterdam’s citizens, hidden behind human faces. Identify them. Mark them. When the Esbat comes, confront them in their true form under the moon. Collect what is owed.
Noa commands witchcraft and spellcasting passed down through generations of Zaindaris. Each target can be approached in multiple ways. Strategy, timing, and choice define the outcome. Every Esbat is a reckoning.
Noa is not alone. Aaron, summoned from 1999, now sees the world through the eyes of a cat. Together, they are one: Switch between Noa and Aaron across two radically different playstyles. One wields witchcraft. The other has four paws and flair.

Combat is difficult, with one move to bonk someone with a stick? The cat on the terrace segment was terribly difficult, Maybe some on-screen cues to help direct where you are meant to be going. Im wondering if we can start using spells in combat at some point? I got too irritated to make it that far- thank you cat scene on the roof.

sadly i had high expectations for this game it peaks a a specific interest but the gameplay is truly hard to get past had to close and restart the game a couple time because it wouldn't let me move forward i hope to comeback to this game if it improves

while the premisis of the game is very interesting, its very janky, specially in combat, where your dodge is on a cooldown randomly and your attacks deal very little damage to bosses... everytime you lose its randomised and you lose every item you used previously sadly, hopefully they adress this in upcoming updates
I completed the early access of 1666: Amsterdam and as a BIG fan of this era, it was really beautiful to immerse in the town and explore around. I will only recommend this game for PATIENT players, as you will get lost a lot, and the fights will be punishing on materials you never get back. If you can accept in playing this slow and patiently, especially with the bugs, you can enjoy the story and scenery. I highly recommend a lot of exploring and looting, so you stock up on potions to craft and gain more recipes. Swap to the cat, possess homeowners, walk together and loot. There are beautiful aspects of this game, but I do wish it was more complete and the fighting didn't feel so clunky. Be prepared to be lost, and enjoy the journey of figuring it out.
