Wolfenstein 3D

Is this game perfect? Yes. It is as good as DOOM? No. Did it set the standard for shooters? Yes. Can it be confusing and tedious? Yes. Should YOU play it? YES.

8/10. The grandfather of the 3D first-person shooter. While the level layouts are basically giant, flat mazes by today's standards, the core gameplay loop is still incredibly fast, responsive, and addictive. To play this on a modern PC or Steam Deck without pulling your hair out over old DOS controls, you absolutely must use the "ECWolf" source port. It lets you play with modern WASD controls, smooth mouse-look, and proper widescreen support, without changing the classic retro aesthetic. Pros: + Pure, fast-paced historical gaming history. + Excellent, iconic soundtrack and sound effects. + ECWolf source port makes the controls feel as smooth as a modern shooter. Cons: - Navigating the late-game maze levels can get very repetitive and disorienting.

this game is great i played the first episode and liked it alot but can we please give this to nightdive i think it would be just as good as the doom and heretic remasters but at the moment 8/10
