Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.43/day in the week to Sep 3 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Quick Summary: A reminder that the PS1/PS2 era gameplay and graphics had charm and fun. This is a classic Action JRPG with full Falcom doing it's best. The systems may take time to get use to, "EXP as Food" and the graphics and story is a particular throwback to a certain era of gaming, yet you'll find a game that you'll see pioneered or tested the water if you will for a lot of systems in other Falcom games. Highly recommended picking up this under-rated classic. -See Below for Deeper Review- Gameplay: The main loop of this game is using food as a either a healing or XP to level up and finding the balance for both, mix that with a odd, but unique dungeon system, where you have different paths and you got yourself a flawed, but interesting system that actually pays off after awhile. Throw in the fact that you'll be given a partner that you can switch between that cast magic. After awhile you'll unlock mega attacks, more spells, more gear, etc that makes this a fun little romp that we don't get alot of anymore. Bosses for the most part are pretty straightforward and there are a few that could have used a better telegraphing prompt, but nothing over the top here. The game does have sidequests, plus a pet system and a few other round abouts that never go too deep, but simply add to the game. Graphics: Anime mixed with Classic PS2 era. Screenshots don't do this game justice, even now after all these years you'll find some charm and definatly some moments of nostalgia as you stare at certain levels scenery or even just take a moment and watch the world map move. It's all a great feeling that brings back loving memories. It's not going to win any awards by modern standards, but you'll see where alot of love went into small details to make you fall in love with this world and characters. Sound: The music is rip roaring Falcom style. You got raging guitar rock, somber melodies and everything in between. There's a lot that sounds similar to there other series such as Y's, but I feel there was a lot of repeat use of tracks in this as well. You won't complain though as you're tearing through a dungeon or a boss fight humming along. The voice acting in this game isn't half bad either. The voice actors all seem to get to not take the game too seriously and put on some great performances, though it's a shame the credits behind the characters have kind of remained hidden. Story: The world is made up of floating islands, and you play Ragna Treasure hunter and Aeroplane (form of getting to island to island) enthusiast. Off on a delivery when you get attacked, crash and end up making a deal with a quasi-vampire to get back her castle, avenge you're plane that spirals into you saving the island, finding family, etc. etc. This isn't going to win drama of the year, but the way the characters and story is just zany and dosn't take itself to serious works in it's favor. It's show alot of care and again like I said before fall in love with this world. Final Thoughts: I hope with the boom of Falcom's series hitting more players as of late we will get to see them touch upon their lesser known series. Y's, Trails and even Xanadu have had new entries. I would love to see this world expanded upon with new updated gameplay. With the recent Y's Nordics adding in ship sailing, it would be amazing to see this world add in actual Aeroplane flying to move between continents and expand upon more of the lore. The gameplay from this game has been used in another Falcom game Nayuta a quasi trails spin off, but they really need to just make a new game set here. This is a true hidden gem of a game that I really hope more people give it a shot truly.
Zwei: The Ilvard Insurrection is an action RPG built around fast combat, lighthearted storytelling, and a dual-protagonist structure. It continues the spirit of its predecessor while shifting toward a more anime-driven presentation, using colorful environments and upbeat pacing to create an accessible adventure. The game’s tone stays consistently energetic, matching the lively world design and character interactions. The narrative follows treasure hunter Ragna and vampire princess Alwen as they form an unlikely partnership. Their dynamic is central to the game’s identity, mixing comedic banter with moments of growth as they challenge antagonists threatening Ilvard. The plot is straightforward but serviceable, carried primarily by character personality rather than dramatic twists. Combat uses a tag-team system where both protagonists contribute distinct abilities. Ragna’s melee-centered attacks provide direct, physical engagement, while Alwen’s spells add ranged coverage and elemental effects. Switching between them on the fly keeps encounters active and prevents the repetition common in simpler action RPGs. Boss battles, in particular, use this system well, requiring observation, movement, and effective timing. Exploration is segmented into dungeons that feature puzzles, traps, and platforming elements. Layouts are compact but varied, presenting a mix of straightforward combat rooms and more involved environmental challenges. These segments maintain a steady rhythm, with clear visual cues and manageable difficulty that reward quick thinking rather than trial-and-error. Progression is tied to an unconventional leveling approach based on food instead of traditional experience points. Collecting ingredients and meals raises stats, incentivizing players to balance exploration with resource management. This system adds light strategy without complicating the core gameplay loop, fitting the game’s accessible design philosophy. The presentation leans on bright colors and stylized characters. Falcom’s signature music direction supports the tone with lively tracks that elevate both combat and exploration. While the visuals reflect the game’s modest budget, their charm lies in consistent art direction and brisk animation that keep the world engaging. Zwei: The Ilvard Insurrection stands out as a compact, upbeat action RPG that prioritizes charm, teamwork mechanics, and fast-paced encounters. Its strengths lie in character chemistry, polished dungeon flow, and approachable systems. For players seeking a cheerful and mechanically responsive adventure, it offers a satisfying and distinctive experience.
For this game, which can be considered "time-honored," I hope to briefly discuss it with my limited words. I first discovered 《Zwei:The Ibard Insurrection》 when I was in the first year of junior high school. Since my family didn't have a computer that allowed me tgames freely, I had to search for related gameplay videos online.Fortunately, there happened to be a blogger online who loved this game, allowing me to watch the entire game walkthrough. The adventure of treasure hunter Ragnar and vampire princess Elwen in the game is seriously addictive! Later on, Lu and Ang are so lively and cute, and even villains are such charming characters—they’re just impossible to hate! So as soon as I started university, I immediately bought this game at full price out of my own pocket, and I even embarked on my own childhood dream-chajourney that very day. After dozens of hours of hard fighting, watching Ragnar leave hand in hand with his sister Mia, I felt a tinge of melancholy that made mewant to cry; perhaps this is the most direct feeling this game has brought me. So, to all the players reading this: go give this game a shot! Forget about the graphics and models for a sec—this is way better than you could evermagine! It’s a total hidden gem!
