ALL THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS ARE BOGUS
I've put off purchasing this for so long due to the mixed and negative reviews. As of 2025, I can confidently say that this is indeed a solid port. It runs smoothly and there are no controller issues. If you do encounter controller issues, you can enable steam input which should basically fix the controls. One con is that the game does not have remappable keys for keyboard, but it's recommended to play with a controller anyway.
Lazy ports. For some reason the original, cool ass menus with their respective music have been replaced with these awful “modern” menus. No option to cycle between snes/genesis versions of the soundtrack. Some weird bugs, lazy achievements. Awful ui. You’d be better off playing the original versions of these games (in a way you so choose).
Some of the reviews I was reading put me off this game for a while. I chose to research myself rather than trust people online and it turns out this game is great. I used to play both these games when I was a kid, and these are just a straight port with a save function. No crashes or performance issues at all aswell. I would of liked to be able to change the button layout, but even without it I enjoy this game. There is a reason why I don't always trust what other people say.
Im geniunely a little offended at the quality. yall just couldnt help yourselves from ruining this port huh?
The save system is awful, the player has two options: save and quit, or quit with no save, so the player has to jump back and forth when needed. Having one save file per game like other classic collections such as the Castlevainia anniversary collection. These classic games have many levels, so a normal save file would help. It was fun, what little I played, but the save isn't working for me.
I actually nearly didn't buy this because of the negative reviews... Honestly plays amazing, audio fine, graphics fine, I've only played it single player for now but all looks as good as the original haha. Buy it
I haven't experienced any issues playing the games at all. I was even trying to pay attention to the negative feedback from the other reviewers. Some noticeable, some not. Depends how you feel, which for me, no issues or concerns. I made it to level 11 with no problems. Controllers were easy to use (XBOX controller) the game obviously poses some challenges, just like how i remembered with my physical copy of this game. Fun game, nostalgic, and worth it for me. Beats putting together my SNES and playing it.
Zombies Ate My Neighbors and Ghoul Patrol es pura nostalgia en vena.
classic game but the port make the game control pretty clunky
The people... I could not save them. The zombies... they ate my neighbors.
