Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.43/day in the week to Sep 4 → 2.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The first game? Incredible, I have no notes. Please play it. The second one? I feel like my brain has turned into a forgotten ball of yarn that had a rendezvous with three street cats. ...Still really good tho! Wished the games would have stayed 2D, as the art kinda suffers from the clunkiness sometimes, but at least they managed to fix it in AI: The Somnium Files :)

I really enjoyed both 999 and VLR (the two games included in The Nonary Games). In fact, I'd say they are some of my favourite games of all time, particularly in terms of story, though the escape rooms were fun too. I don't usually like Visual Novels, as many of them feel the same or are just reading with hardly any gameplay, but these games do not have that problem. The rooms and puzzles were almost always quite fun, I found the dialogue and characters to be interesting (and I will forever remember what Prosopagnosia is) and the overall story to be quite robust (particularly with 999) VLR was interesting but also gigantic. There were so many paths and certain ones felt very confusing at times. However, my mind was quite blown by the ending and it put a lot of pieces together in a very clever way that had gone very over my head. I went into it thinking it wasn't going to make any sense, and came out feeling shocked at how well everything fit in the end (As Phi would undoubtedly say: "Isn't it obvious???"), even if some of it was a bit bloated I think it was well worth it. I wish I could play these games all over again for the first time, as they have really interesting and cool mechanics, meshed with a great story and fun point-and-click escape room puzzles. I do NOT recommend buying the "Zero Escape Trilogy Bundle" though, as I feel the second half of the third game really hurt my interest in the series, but these two games in one package of The Nonary Games are a beautiful combo together. Highly recommend buying this game! It's are VERY worth the price in my opinion, and I wish more people were aware 999 and VLR existed!
best 407 hours of my life spent
Excellent games if you love a lack of logic, annoying characters, and non-sensical storytelling. Made me mad on several occasions from how asinine it was. Maybe if you leave your brain at the door you will have a good time...
PEAK
Favorite game series ever. Played this originally on the DS and I really love how much it feels like to play it for the same time again but with voice acting now.
This game is one big math test and I failed it multiple times
sad old man gif on tenor (the game is awesome and i had a blast playing with a friend. junpei and snake the goat)
Estuve llorando durante toda la última hora del 999, y el VLR me dejó con secuelas mentales. 10/10. Ahora a por ZTD.
