This is by far the crappiest game I've ever loved. It's mostly grinding. There is very little plot to speak of. Much of the assets seem to be stolen from WOW, or are at least extremely similar. The music gets old fast. I can't even run it in my native resolution of 1440p. And yet. And yet. I find the core gameplay loop extremely satisfying. It's bizarrely addictive in a way I can't explain. I'm not sure I could recommend this game, but I have to say I love it. I could be playing Baldur's Gate 3 or Starfield right now, but I find myself drawn back to this at the moment. The heart wants what the heart wants.
Was not able to play this game anymore. Say unable to connect. Was able to klick past that but after making characters i get endless loading screen after pressing start (can still interact with character creator)
Love this game! one of the first games I got when I got my new computer. After putting up with what I deal with at work all day, I enjoy some mindless killing (lol) when I get home!
I think it's a cool game, i like the level ups and the fact you can exit the tower on every level. All round good game play to while away the hours.
You have a base of a game here but its just not enough. I cant recommend this game right now. I like the different characters and abilities but there are so many things wrong with this game. I can make some suggestions on a second Tower 2: A) DONT reuse the same enemy models. B) Make each 5 levels a new environment and make it mean something. Example is first 5 levels could be forest and you fight animals like spiders and bears with decent xp but not much loot. Next 5 levels could be subterranean and you fight brigands and dwarfs wtih lower xp but great loot. Something like this to mix it up. C) Have something to do in rooms besides just a chest or flavor book. Maybe there are power books and you can choose 1 of 4 buffs for common the next room, rare the entire floor, or legendary your whole run. Maybe some mini games that open better chests. Maybe there are rare chances treasure goblin are enemies. D) The town thing is great I love this but make it even bigger and better. Add alchemist shop for potions you can use maybe 3 times per run. Add Slot Machine you play with entrance tokens you earn in special chests. Add Your own house u can add more chests for storage and upgrade statues for 1-5% more xp from enemies and gold. Add Monument you can upgrade for better random % rolls, ect. What you can do is endless! E) Up the difficulty. Make it way harder. Maybe this can be a building in town too that you can build up to make it even harder but more rewarding. F) Better character balance. The paladin is completely bonkers op. Some of best heals, damage, armor, resists everything and str = spellpower. You could steamroll game with 6 paladins with back paladins having reach weapons. Mage is also bonkers. G) Just more stuff to do. More involving. This game got super boring after 10 hours. Good try. You almost made a good game.
I played for 15 minutes and came across too many bugs. On character creation the UI got weird and part of it went off the screen. I was like uhh thats weird but just decided to move past it. I entered town and was exploring the buildings and noticed my party had turned from 4 to 8! All my characters had been duplicated. Again I thought that's weird, I could target my first 4 normally but the last 4 (the duplicates) were just there unable to be interacted with. So I wasn't sure if that was intended or a bug. So then im going to do a dungeon and it asks me to bring 6 party members. It shows me the 4 I started with and the 4 duplicates so I thought maybe it duplicated them so that I would have a full party? I'm not sure I thought it was weird but was giving it the benefit of the doubt. So I put in 2 rogues, 1 warrior, 2 priests and 1 mage. I enter the dungeon, and my party is 5 warriors and a rogue! I don't know whats up, but that many bugs in 15 minutes I'm not willing to commit anymore playtime. Maybe the combat is good I'm not sure I never got there.
I have enjoyed Zavix so far (over 16 hours). It's a nice, casual grinder. It does get pretty repetitive/spam '1'+click after a while, with no end in sight. But the gameplay is smooth, and the mechanics predictable enough not to require a slide rule to get Scooter to level 13. The talent system might get a chuckle out of you as, I swear, some of the items are straight out of the old WOW talent tree. Nothing OP so far, just very Familiar. The price point is a bit steep at $10 if surfing for a cheap thrill on Steam, i'd suggest waiting for a sale. But if crawlers are your thing, and you just HAVE to buy one, this one shouldn't disappoint you.
Fun game, ugly character portraits. 8/10.
