Z.O.N.A Project X VR

These games are extremely unpolished and below a quality standard that most developers would be comfortable releasing. The undertaking must have been immense for the developer, however the end result should not be offered for sale. This is a learning project by the developer, and hopefully some day they will find their true place in game development. I would also like to add, despite similarities, this is not S.T.A.L.K.E.R VR, so if you expected anything other than the aesthetic and lore of that series, you may disappointed by this emulation. I'm not able to review the second game, so I will leave this here: Z.O.N.A Origin: This game is a scam. It is almost a reprogramming of the first game, and actually reuses the tutorial with the same terrible AI and identical dialogue. I am all for indie developers, and I understand the task the developer underwent, but the best things in life are free, and I feel the quality of this game is below monetary value. I hate leaving a bad review, for I support Ukraine and it's diaspora, but I caution VR players to avoid this game.

well the game is quite nice for a solo developper, the only thing that would have needed polish is the ennemy ai now that I have finished the main adventure I will try a few raids and continuing the adventure with zona origins

[b]Pros:[/b] + Looked pretty good on maxed out settings + Weapons sounded good + Easy to use weapon attachment/repair system + Good set of VR options + Environments were atmospheric + Save anywhere + Worked with PSVR2 [b]Cons:[/b] - Settings would randomly reset - Enemy AI was pretty braindead - Not everything was translated - Story wasn't great - The first time I used the shotgun it worked fine but awhile later when I went to use it, I was unable to do the pump action. [b]Closing Thoughts:[/b] I thought this was pretty good and liked it more than Into the Radius. I have the second game lined up already which hopefully has some better enemy AI.

This VR game is a real gem for all fans of the post-apocalyptic atmosphere in the style of Stalker. From the very first minutes, you feel incredible tension: dark abandoned locations, ruined buildings, eerie anomaly sounds, and a constant feeling of danger behind your back. In VR, this works many times stronger than in regular games — you literally feel like a stalker carefully exploring a dangerous zone step by step. The atmosphere is especially impressive. Fog, cracked roads, old Soviet structures, and an unsettling silence sometimes feel scarier than the enemies themselves. And when you suddenly hear a strange sound in the darkness or your anomaly detector starts reacting, the adrenaline kicks in instantly. The gameplay is also very well designed. You have to carefully observe the environment, search for artifacts, conserve ammunition, and decide when it’s better to avoid danger and when to engage in combat. Thanks to VR controls, every action — from reloading weapons to searching through your backpack — feels extremely realistic. The sound design and music also deserve special praise. The rustling of grass, distant gunshots, wind blowing through abandoned buildings — all of this creates the feeling that you are truly inside a dangerous exclusion zone. Sometimes it even makes you want to look over your shoulder. Overall, this is one of those VR games that doesn’t just entertain but fully immerses you in its world. If you enjoy dark atmospheres, exploration, and a constant sense of danger, this game will give you dozens of hours of a true stalker experience. Highly recommended for all fans of the genre! ☢️🎧

There's a bug where the saving gets stuck and you can't save but after you restart the game it shows you the save files like it got saved and when you try to load black you get stuck on black screen so I lost all my progress and this is a red flag I'm not going to play this game anymore , from my experience in the game I can tell you that the ai is really bad in this game i plsyed on the hardest difficulty and it was awful one good thing i can say is the controls are really good they are very responsive and using the guns in vr was very satisfying
