Yu-Gi-Oh! EARLY DAYS COLLECTION

They can make Japanese exclusive available in multiple languages now but can't add a fast forward button like every basic emulator has had for the past 15+ years now? Seriously couldn't take out the effect repeating in Resheff? It makes you not even want to use cards with lasting effects. So annoying and such a waste of time when a fast forward could easily help with that. Will give a positive review when you add FF button option.

If you hate the modern game than this is the game for you. i love the 02 - 05 time period of the game. you can also add in all your cards by inputting the code in the bottom left corner of the card.

A competently put together collection that just falls short of the Cowabunga Collection but not by much. You have translated versions of all the portable GB/C/A Yugioh games (Minus WCT 2006 as that was GX Themed) complete with multiple online versions of the card game in its neophite formats and also fan favourite Dungeon Dice Monsters. Really hopping for a (Precious Time,) Glory Days collection for the GX games (and maybe Nightmare Traboudor?) soon.

Positives: Some of the most mindless, soul-sucking, grindy videogames ever produced. Misery from concentrate. Terrible design which only exists to waste your time. Negatives: They added features to reduce the grindy elements, which defeats the purpose in even playing these awful titles in the first place.

First of all: yes this collection of 14 games is definitly overpriced considering the age of the games (and the quality of some/a lot of them). The biggest upside this collection brings is the rewind (up to 60 seconds) and the fast forward (which you can't use at every step) feature. The Controls however just suck, the mouse is not suppored at all. Most if not all games are super grindy. The collection also comes with some cheats. But it's mostly for getting all cards, which is completly pointless as it takes away all fun or for getting around the stupid deck or character level restriction which I gladly used. I'd say only get this when you are a big YGO fan and don't mind some very simple and antique feeling games. From those 14 games you gotta cut 3 which don't play like YGO at all and just suck. (Monster Capsule, Dungeon Dice Monsters, Destiny Board Traveler) Then you have 6 games which play similar than YGO but have also big differences (no phases, most monsters don't have effects and that stupid allignement system). And of course that stupid deck or character level restriction. Honestly most of them are still kinda fine except Reshef of Destruction which is just borderline unfair and extremly grindy). However at least 4 of them are very similar to each other; if you played one you basically seen everything. That leaves us with just 5 games which mostly play by TCG/OCG rules which were the ones I enjoyed the most and by far. And again, those 5 games are then are quite similar to each other. Like Duel Monsters 6 and Worldwide Edition are like 99% the same game, the biggest difference is the first of them is only available in japanese. Like Wtf. Was it too much to ask to give us a translation? All games in the collection were originally released between 1998 and 2005. I just wish we would have gotten at least some newer ones. So yeah, overall definitly a mixed bag. I still somehow hope Konami releases a second collection with some better and newer titles.

This is a collection of games that almost no one played, combined with Japanese as the only language for atleast 1 of the games. Some of them you must hold the fast forward button in order to play. As a whole this has alot of work. Needed before its stable and playable.

I didn't enjoy yu-gi-oh like this for a long time

I bought it simply because of nostalgia. I don't even care if I'm putting in hours of game play into it or not. As long as it's the OG Yu-Gi-Oh of course, or Yu-Gi-Oh GX. I know they can't compete with the newer games in terms of graphics and game play, but I still like glossing over them and reminiscing over the good times I had in my child hood. Well, not exactly GOOD, because I was never good at them or understand how the cards worked on some of those, specifically. I'd have to use cheat codes or learn how to actually play them. 7 Trials to Glory, for example. Other one of my favorites included were the Sacred Cards, Re-something of Destruction, Worldwide Edition(my top favorite). I never had any in real life friends to play with, but it was still fun, nonetheless. I like how there's a "rewind" option, as well. Never know when you might need it. The ability to toggle different graphic versions of the game is cool too...like add the grain/tiles that the old handheld games had. Kind of sad to think about, but to not put this in my favorite games category would be criminal. WHAT I would LOVE to see and play is Duelist of the Roses or the Capsule Monster's one. I can still play those using a PS2 emulator, but it'd be so much better and convenient if I could play them through Steam. Maybe modernize it, so one could use a keyboard or mouse. I don't mind using a controller but mouse and keyboard is always my first option. I'm probably being greedy if I said I wanted the ability to use the rewind option, as well, for those two games. I also wouldn't mind a Forbidden Memories port, or a Dawn of Destiny because I never actually owned an Xbox in those days. Still, I'd be grateful if we even just get Duelist of the Roses. W for nostalgia. 10/10
