I can't mince words. It's a grindfest. Cauldron is about a young witch, thrown into a world covered in shadow. Her task: gain resources through endless minigames á la Roguelite and slowly upgrade yourself through the tasks. At the same time fight the enemies in the shadows to uncover parts of the map, raising your production multiplier in the process. This again leading to additional skill points by upgrading certain thresholds in the gathering minigames. It's a sort of give-and-take scenario. Improve in one section to get better in another. Being quite simplistic, I like the game. It's good to just shut off your brain and autopilot after a hard day's work. Though, if you want to get 100%, expect around 140+ hours for all the resource gathering. No way to phrase it better: This game is designed to eat time. It's not as immersive as other great games where you don't even notice the passage of time, but given that you can save and exit at any point, it splits the content up in neat little chunks at your own discretion. The only negative thing I have to say about the game, I liked the music. But after 140 hours of, I believe, 3 different tracks, those same ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tracks are now stuck playing in my head for the forseeable future. Coming to a conclusion, I give this game a solid 8/10. Some nice quality of life features could further improve this game's polish, but it is quite enjoyable as-is.
chill lil game
This incremental game have everything, combat, minigames, for example minigame to collect apples, and then, turned out into epic party bullet hell, like what... and surprisingly, the combat mechanic is pretty solid, team battle with actual roles.. and yeah auto-able which is decent if you're a [strike] lazy [/strike] energy preserving person. tldr; if you like to play games inside game and watching number go up everywhere, then this game for you.
This game leaves a complicated impression. When you just open it, it's suppose to be played as somewhat normal jrpg for a bit with you being involved in basic mini games to progress leveling, then you slowly get to a point when it transforms into a fully auto-battler, including mini games that you can just leave on auto play and only get involved in leveling, New game+ features and some team compositions. And when you're done with most basic stuff that can be done mostly on Auto play, so when you get to latest achievments for mini-games and hard game modes, is when the game demands of you to take some control back. Game has a rather nice visual design, normal pixelart, music and vfx, and a chill story that wouldn't bother you if you don't care but will be somewhat entertaining if it gets you, jokes are fine. If you're looking for somewhat chill auto-battler/idle game this one won't disappoint(except maybe for an hour or two you will have to pay attention to get how stuff works), if you're looking for full Platinum walkthrought keep in mind that some skill and grind of said mini-games will be involved.
i had a lot of fun with this one, very active incremental game with a sweet lil story + world. good time <3
Great incremental game, honestly. Definitely got repetitive later, but the scaling was decent enough that it at least felt like progress was still being made. Managed to 100% in 44 hours which is pretty decent for the cost of the game
I rarely play a game more than once, barely more than twice. I'm on my third run now just to 100%. Love this game.
