PROS----- - Very interesting characters. - Sashiro, the main character, shows to be very mysterious within the first few chapters. - Qi, a psychopathic sangophile who is also Sashiro's adopted brother. - Janna, a medic and investigator who is just as mysterious as Sashiro. - Ronald and Dan, both seem to be pretty interesting, though their faces were never shown (at least in Chapter 0). - Plot's good so far-- nothing amazing, but it works. CONS----- - Short instrumental piano music clearly synthesized via FL Studio. I'm not really fond of how the melodies sound. The editing is a bit awkward, too. - Not enough choices. The story is trying to give you multiple choices for each situation to make it more interactive but it's limited only to random conversations that don't have any affect on the plot. VERDICT: The novel's okay so far. Not as good as I thought it was in my head, though-- but hey, I'm still on the second chapter when I made this review. My opinion might change. Just make sure you have the volume off so you don't have to listen to the music.
I haven't wrote much reviews, only games that deserves one...and this one definitely deserves it. Story: You play Sashiro, a member of a kinda world police called World-Peacemakers, who hunts terrorists. He gets to know a terrorist leader is hidden in a high-school. In order to get it, he infiltrates the school as student... Pretty neat and cool plot, many dialouge options for perfect immersion (although most of them doesn't really change the plot in a major way). Endings:There are 3 endings, one of the endings is quite hard to achieve without"help"(will explain in the following soon) I've played a lot of visual novels, in most of them there is a "good"(cool and satisfying) and a "bad"(unsatisfying, short, strange) ending...not here in XorceD, all endings are cool and satisfying. Also in most other VNs it is hard or even nearly impossible to get a desired ending without googling a walkthrough, but in this game the developers solved this problem in a very elegant and lore-abiding way, which ask you whether to completely reveal what to do exactly -or- just to give hints so you can try to again yourself - or - to point out what you did wrong in the last playthrough. Presentation: Arts are nice, soundtrack is ok which catches the situation. PS: Don't skip the credits, there's bonuscontent after that. Bonuscontent is linked to every ending, so you get total 3 different bonuscontent which is in my opinion quite entertaining!
Usually I don't play story driven games, but 'XorceD - Sashiro's Laedrum' is wonderful! Surprisingly refreshing and cool! Great characters, good job to the developers!
Although I haven't finished the game yet, I can say this is a good visual novel. Here is everything a good VN should have, interesting and unique characters, good visuals, nice soundtrack. I rate this: 91 out of 100 pts
I like the story and characters. PS: The steam card "You lose." is the best card, you guys go check it out!
This game is a gem among the Visual Novels on steam. Story is interesting and never gets boring, this is due to surprise twist and dialouge choices which makes the plot lively. Arts and sound are good.
(Edited/Updated version) Looking back at my previous review... I no understando myself. Anyway... Onto the review! This novel is... Interesting to say the least. Fairly short. 2-5 hours (if you read all da text and ending stuffs) the consept of it I like. Wouldn't mind another novel like this. Maybe having multiple different stories or just a single novel. The charactors however, are almost irrelevent in most of the novel. Since it's not drawn out or anything like that, I doubt he planned to make the charactors have more backstories/relevence in the story and make them a bit more important. I personally like the art. And that's about it. I can say this was one of the more enjoyable cheap novels. I give dis a 7/10.
A good Visual Novel game. I recomment it. long Story. a lot of answer options. nice scenes. good graphic. price is in offer alright. all achievements work.
the game is ok, i liked it I will say you, it is not a must have, intresting and nice story. not best grafics. sounds are fine.
