Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

horrible experience really, i had to google and AI chat for like everything. And yes guss what: after 1 hour of tutorials its enough with tutorials. Enhance the UI and clean up your 20 year old ui heritage and debt you carry around in this game. i assume it can be cool but it isnt.
Just incredible, really scratches a certain itch for me as someone into space sims. The amount of choice and agencey you have as a player in this game is second to none. Started as a humble fighter piolet, to commanding an entire armada that is currently destorying empires. Its like there are two games in one, theres the space pioleting where you can dogfight, trade, ect, and then an 'RTS like' overview of the entire universe where you can command ships like a traditional strategey game. Once you witness a space battle that you started on the deck of your capital ship, because you implemented a blocade on a jump gate in an attempt to starve out the faction you're in a trade war with, you dont want to play any other space sim after that. Ive played starcitizen, elite dangerous, freelancer and x2, and this game wipes them all. I will say its also incredibly challenging getting a hand on all the systems, but its worth it. oh and the soundtrack is god tier.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

On the surface it looks like it could be one of the best games ever made, but in reality is one of the worst games to have ever been cobbled together. To start with the complexity will overwhelm you and when things go wrong you will just think 'I have a skill issue' but no. After 430 hours I can tell you the game itself has a skill issue, and is so broken and brain dead as to utterly invalidate everything you try to do. Mods wont fix it, playing around its flaws wont fix it, the game is just not functionable in a way that makes playing it an enjoyable expierence. The AI is just incredibly stupid, which sure is something for a game designed around empire building. Fighters are mindlessly suicidal, and capital ships and fleet AI is just totally busted. You can set everything up perfectly and then issue an attack order, only to watch them either suicide charge into point blank range and die or just fail to do anything at all and just stare at the enemies. I know it is tempting because blah blah scope blah blah living world blah blah economic simulation but no, do not buy this game. If you want anything more complex than flying a single ship or building a single station? This game is not for you.
game really seems fun and deep, heard it was similar to kenshi so i had to try it when it went on sale but i was really sad to see a fair amount of the voice lines are AI generated, theres boring quests and the whole game looks ugly, not in a low poly way but the assets feel uncanny, most human NPCS have similar face shape and are usually bald and the alien species look uninspired and too gamey for my liking. I also feel like the game shouldve put a bit more effort into hooking the player in, playing through 7 linear tutorial levels, being forced to pick a pre made character and then the FIRST npc youre expected to speak to is voiced fully by a LLM is just appauling really sucks cause i was hooked by the idea of a world that is entirely simulated...
Egosoft build an incredible word with exceptional ships, unique factions and a real economy. Then they compeltely blundered this game by making it NOT FUN to play. The mission system is ABYSMAL. You will spend way more time loking for mission than ever doing them and even if you find them, they suck. I can't believe how bad the mission system is and remains after 8 YEARS of X4.
You will waste HOURS OF TIME because youll glitch out of your ship all of a sudden and have to reload hours old saves. ♥♥♥♥♥♥ developers.
Game is good. Really good. Once you get a handle on the controls, it's awesome. Real good sim for economies, fleet's, and exploration. I have been doing the Terran Cadet start and so far, I have acquired myself 3 small ships, a large carrier that can carry them, and a player asteroid space-dock. I am an Elite Dangerous player so the learning curve is high but the game is familiar. This is a great choice if you like management style games, sci-fi, and a chance to control a huge sandbox style universe. I'll post another review if I put in 100 hours total. So far, really fun.
