I can't enjoy this after the 9.0 update. Too many things uprooted rather than improved.
This game is just terrible
Ugh.. as a new player this brutally boring and just not fun. Taking hits to your ship slows it down.. what!? I had to continually keep trying to speed up 10 hours and have not found 20 minute of actual fun. It's all forced and what seems to be hardcoded on/off situations. I have played EVE and Star Sector and had way more fun in both of those. Too bad because the concept is really cool.
I've really wanted to like this game, but it's just too obtuse, with awful mission design, and fairly shallow flight combat. It's clear that the main thing with the game is playing the map, managing AI, and treating it purely as a sandbox, and for those things it's probably a great game. But not for me - doing any of these missions seems to be an absolute chore where you just fly for 5-10 minutes, then listen to a bit of dialogue, then fly another 5-10 minutes, and then get told to scan for data leaks or something and spend the next 30 minutes looking for god knows what.
I didn't care for the flight characteristics. I knew pretty quickly this wouldn't be a game that I would enjoy but figured I would give it another shot. After turning it off the first time I never felt the need to go back. Sadly I waited to long and couldn't refund.
The combination of zero feedback on why things fail to work and constant bugs makes this game exceedingly tedious to play.
I'm sure some people like this and find depth in this sort of games, but unless you are absolutely certain this is your kind of a game, probably avoid. For a normie it's an spreadsheet simulator with a very confusing UI and a mediocre space piloting experience strapped on the side.
