X-COM: Enforcer

better than expedition 33

A generic horde shooter with X-COM slapped on it. If you're a wimp like me and play on easy, the game punishes you by not letting you face the final boss and you have to play the whole game again, no thank you ma'am

Back in the day it was a slap in the face. We were promised an immersive 3d tactical Xcom game. We had this. It's a game where you (a robot) go pew pew killing everything and collecting power ups. No tactical approach no awesome history, no research new weapons, just pew pew. I bought it because it came in a franchise pack. Don't buy it. Edit: grammar

I mean I can accept X-COM Interceptor as an X-COM game, but this? Sorry, no. Im very curious to read about what happened at the time for ghis to get made. Basically this is a straight third person shooter, a frenetic dumbed down one. I mean its ok as an early 2000's action game, but as an X-COM? Nope.

2/10 deleting all 2k games right the ♥♥♥♥ off my PC cause the new terms of service are kernel levels of criminal.

В мои подростковые годы на канале Рамблера (а такой был, да; кстати, вы помните, что вообще [i]был[/i] Рамблер?) частенько показывали переведенные зарубежные передачи (вроде винрарной Robot Wars), и одной из них было шоу, которое, кажется, звалось "Игра с продолжением" (по крайней мере, это так перевели у нас, в оригинале - X-Play). И там показывали кучу разных игр, от хайповых и крутых до откровенно трэшовых. Собственно, там я, если не ошибаюсь, и увидел X-COM: Enforcer. Воспоминание об игре осталось на закоулках памяти, я даже хапнул ее в Стиме, но долго не обращал внимания. Не так давно я все-таки решил потыкать ее и понял, что это прям образцовый пример поговорки "в семье не без урода", ибо у каждой популярной франшизы появится кривой и косой родственник, про которого фанаты серии обычно скажут, что, мол, он приемный. И вот это вот оно. Тупой шутер с 3D-графикой, но в двумерной проекции. Мы играем за киборга, задача которого - покрошить пришленцев. Уровни унылы, процесс игры однообразен: спасаем людей, ломаем спавнеры чужих (иначе "гости" будут лезть до бесконечности), собираем бонусы, копим очки, тратим их на прокачку между миссиями - повторяем с начала и до талого, пока не настигнем финального босса. Игра ужратая и примитивная, как палка. На поржать и под пиво сойдет, но не более того. Никакого откровения или причины рекомендовать ее, кроме как лулзов ради, нет. P.s. А еще тут прямо суперотвратная озвучка! Исключительный уровень отсутствия качества. P.p.s. Ну зачем тут нужна замораживающая пушка? Это оружие которое бесит больше, чем дамажит >_<

This game brings one of the greatest pc gaming childhood memories for me. The early 2000s gave us many great games, but in the genre of a scientist robot created with the sole purpose to save the world from the alien invaders, nothing beats X-COM Enforcer! I haven't played any other games from the XCOM series so i cannot compare this one to them, but this is a standalone masterpiece for its time. I'm here 20+ years on still playing and enjoying it just as much as when i was a child.

It doesn't work. This is a scam/fraud and should be illegal.

For an XCOM game, it shares little to no resemblance with any prior entry in the series, other than the fact that there is aliens. For a third person shooter it is alright, other than the fact that you can't really move your camera left right up down in 3D it's like somewhat 2.5D. As a mindless horde shooter type game it's heavily outclassed imo by Serious Sam: TFE which came out in the same year to a much higher quality. Like I said it's not a horrible game, it's pretty short, I had some fun for a bit, but it overshadowed by it's peers. And it's not even XCOM. Maybe as a new IP maybe it would've had some merit back in the day.
