Really promising but ultimately dissatisfying. The mechanics are fun (minesweeper + Dungelot). However, there is no goal. There is no progression, no unlocks, and no end. You just keep going until you die. You eventually find some rotting testicles (yep .. ) and "bring them deeper" -- they levitate down to the next floor. And that's it. It's too bad because the game is pretty, interesting from a mechanical standpoint, and definitely could fit into this niche genre. But I have to pass. Also, there are lots of spelling and grammar errors. The dev has said they intend to work on correcting them over time. Finally, here is a game that really COULD have benefited from some community feedback through early access.
It's with reluctance that I'm passing on this one. It's a rogue-like minesweeper with fabulous artwork. My problem is there is no way to really win the game. Your quest is to find a dead man's rotting testicles. Yes, you heard me right. You'll see them served on a platter... Every time you start the game on that long loading screen. And when you finally find his ghastly genitals, they levitate away. Tell me, what incentive is there for chasing after a pair of runaway testicles? I guess hemorrhoids just weren't disgusting enough. There's a free Chinese clone of this on android, which is a lot better and testicle free. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.phoenix.saolei&hl=en_US
Nicely realised minesweeper/dungeon crawler combination, with quirky cartoon visual style and clever game mechanics. The dungeon is literally bottomless, which may be a good thing or a bad thing depending on your tastes. There are also a bunch of different characters to unlock, each with different play styles, to add some variety. Addictive stuff.
Very fun A bit of a weird story but you can skip it by just clicking on the screen once. +Mine sweeper with interesting aspects +lots of replayability +A casual game that is fun to get into but takes time to git gud at -Semi dusgusting story - Can be a bit slow at times -No achivements it explains everything clearly but has no tutorial
While I'll admit I've only played a couple of sessions so far, I really like the devs take on the Minesweeper Roguelite gameplay. Yes, this has already be done with Dungelot and Runestone Keeper, to name a couple, but 1 subtle difference that is huge to me is that this game DOES NOT have the meta game grinding. When playing a cool highscore chaser, having a character that, over multiple play sessions, gets persistently more powerful with each run really distorts stuff. I really like that while this game has unlockable classes, each class will have consistent starting conditions so, if competing with friends it won't simply be a matter of whomever has built up their character the most will have a huge advantage.
Really fun rogue-like puzzle game inspired by Minesweeper. If this combination or genres sounds interesting to you, then you'll probably like Radical Dungeon Sweeper. The idea is pretty simple, you go from one floor to the next, digging your way through dirt, trying to avoid or kill monsters and find gold and various items to help you along the way. You also gain XP as you progress, allowing you to upgrade your character as you go, and once in a while you'll find special weapons and spells that you can add to your inventory. Along the way, you'll encounter characters locked behind bars. If you manage to free them they'll be added to your list of playable characters, each having special properties, to select on your next runs. The goal of the game is simply to find a relic and carry it with you from one floor to the next, as deep as possible. There is no end to it, so if you like games with specific goals, this might be an issue. One thing the developer could do to help with that would be to add achievements to unlock as extra goals and motivation. Talking about motivation, unlike most rogue-like games, there is a Hall of Fame section in the game, so you can keep a little souvenir of your best run. There you will find a list of you past characters, along with information on the level you've reached, the upgrades you've unlocked and the items you were carrying when you died. What's important with rogue-like games isn't always to know that there is an end to it. Most of these games are designed so that most people will never be able to reach it anyway. What's important is to know if you'll have fun playing it, trying to get further and further in the game, and for this game, the answer is a big yes. It's a great game, the concept is great, the illustrations are insanely beautiful, and the music, as well as the diversity in monsters and items, are all really good.
Overall 9/10 This game was a wonderful surprise, and does a great job of marrying minesweeper and dungeon crawling. although it is not perfect as it stands, being at this price point makes it incredibly worth it. The way you crawl through this dungeon at times really depends on playstyle , class, and just the right amount of luck. Pros: - It plays as you would expect a game marrying minesweeper with anything to play - Feels like it has endless replay value when you have downtime - Tons of different monsters with different abilities - 8 classes, 7 of which need to be reattained if you die as them, adds a strategic element of knowing when to retreat Cons: - Has a mechanic where you can't click on a corner space even if you know it is safe.(this may be intentional as there are items or abilities to allow you to hit any space, but for the most part just feels off, especially if you play minesweeper strategically) Overall, I was pleasantly surprised at how well this game played through, and I find myself wanting to play more later; Not the incessant need, like what's next, but the potato chip kind where you can always snack on another when you're just not sure what to snack on. This game should overtime beat its price to time ratio, but unlikely in one sitting to go over the the time. If you enjoy minesweeper and dungeon crawling, this is a good game for you.
玩着玩着会卡住动不了,只能关掉游戏,重新登陆后游戏进度就没了。
The game crashes more than Tracy Morgan, but it's sofa king addictive, and such a throwaway game, that it's almost hardly ever that big of a deal. I bought the game just over a week ago, and I've been playing it non-stop. It doesn't remind me of Minesweeper (as not all lvls are solved with balanced minesweeper rules), rather it reminds me of Treasure Crypt (but a little simpler)
No objectives. No progress. Just the same dungeon over and over again. There is no NEW WAY of descending the dungeon. Or maybe it is. After 3 hours, I just didn't find it. Not worth it.
