[h1]Great Game, Terrible PC Port [/h1] I would genuinely love to give World of Final Fantasy a positive review because the game itself is a lot of fun. The concept is fantastic: Pokémon meets Final Fantasy. Collecting and evolving Mirages, building your stack combinations, and seeing characters and monsters from across the Final Fantasy series come together is a genuinely enjoyable experience. It's a charming, laid-back RPG that's perfect when you want something fun and relaxing. The problem is the Steam version is an absolute mess. Getting the game to launch consistently feels like completing a side quest before you can even play. On my system, I had to go through a checklist of fixes that includes browsing the local files, running the .exe as administrator, and generally jumping through hoops just to get the game started. Worse still, this isn't a one-time fix. You have to repeat the process whenever you want to play. Then there's the settings situation. The game doesn't even have proper in-game graphics settings. If you want to change display options, resolution, or other settings, you have to go through another bizarre process. Click Play on Steam, click on some Kanji (Japanese characters) for reasons I still don't fully understand, and then you can access the configuration menu. It's the kind of PC port that feels like it was abandoned the moment it launched. What makes it even more frustrating is that these issues have been known for years. A quick search shows plenty of players reporting the same problems, and at this point I highly doubt Square Enix is going to come back and fix them. So here's my recommendation: play this game on literally any other platform if you can. The game itself is a fun, charming RPG that Final Fantasy fans will probably enjoy. The Steam version, however, turns simply launching and configuring the game into a bigger challenge than some of the actual boss fights. [h3]Fun game. Bad PC port. Not recommended on Steam. [/h3]

if the game is crashing upon launch, go to your steamapps folder find WOFF right click the .exe, enable compatibility mode and check mark run as administrator. should run now, you are welcome.

looks like a cool and fun game but a bad port as game doesn't want to start, squeenix fix your PC ports

would love to recommend, but considering you have to physically go in the files so the game can even start, not a great PC release.

Game does not work on windows 11 well. This is another very bad port by square enix which is not being fixed or updated for modern systems. There are numerous fixes available that may or may not work if you search through the discussion boards. Unfortunately the controls are terrible, controller support seems to work only for xbox controllers not playstation. Overall sadly done port that may or may not work, square enix really needs to do a better job on these ports.

This is a wonderful though not the most difficult Final Fantasy. This is such a fun whimsical edition to the Final Fantasy franchise.As to launching issues, just go to local files and copy the EXE and put it on your start menu. I’ve heard about crash issues, but never had any such problems.

I love this game, but the last patch broke the game so bad you can't launch it. But thank to Ragna_Ikari there is a fix https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3469041077
