Wordlase is a word-puzzle game. You need to compile words from the letters of offered one. For example, you can make words "ant" and "potion" from the letters of "interpolation". But you can't assemble "mol" since there is no "m" letter.

Wordlase is one of those word puzzle games where you are given a somewhat long word and must pick out words that you can make using the letters from that root word. That's right, the developers entire business model is to compete with the puzzle section at the back of the newspaper. And thousands of free browser games. By putting a paid product on Steam. Polluting the place with garbage and making gaming slightly worse for everyone. The best part about this game, and the reason it's attracted a few fake positive reviews, is that despite being a wordgame, the developer doesn't know English so none of the puzzles work properly, as many of the basic words just aren't right. Things that aren't words will be accepted. Known English words will be rejected. There's a background story to the game, and the English translation is a complete and utter joke, it's so bad it really is funny... for about 20 seconds. That's right, this is word game from a developer that doesn't know what's a word and what isn't. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no option to change the resolution and no useful graphics tweaks. There's no way to ensure this is running at the native resolution of your display. There's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. The game interface is mostly just text boxes/dialogs and features mostly static, barely animated 2D images, the kind of thing you expect to see in browser/HTML games from the 1990s. While that might be fine for the 1990s, gaming has evolved a lot since then, the ATI Rage became mainstream in 1996... it's 2023, and that kind of thing just won't fly anymore, it's just not visually up to scratch. For gameplay purposes, because the user interface for this game is mostly just 2D static images... it might as well be a browser game. And we all know, Steam isn't here to compete with Chrome and Firefox. If the game can be done in a web browser, it's just not rich or compelling enough to appeal to serious gamers on PC. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. You don't have to take my word about how bad the game is, we can measure the interest in a game by how much people bothered to play it. Wordlase has achievements, and they show us a very clear picture that the game absolutely failed to capture any interest from gamers. The most commonly and easily attained achievement is for starting the game (beyond the intro), trivial to achieve, but less than 7 percent of players bothered to get that far before uninstalling the game. That's a tiny, tiny proportion of gamers who even bothered with this. Ouch. Reviewing SteamDB to check how popular this game was with players reveals a surprise... there's a very healthy spike in player counts for the game. But this isn't consistent with the achievement stats, that show less than 7 percent of players bothered playing the game for any reasonable amount of time. How is it possible for this game to have so many concurrent players who weren't even playing the game? Trading cards. Players will use card idling software to collect the cards and sell them, but this won't trigger any achievements in-game. That tells us people only really bought this game for trading cards, and that's a damning indictment of the woeful quality. A closer look at the numbers shows the game just has a couple of players every week running up the game and idling it for cards, then deleting it. We must ask how it benefits gamers for there to be so many games like this, with no merit as a serious game, that only generate sales from people idling and selling the trading cards. Wordlase is relatively cheap at $1 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend.

Wow - a word game that wants you to make smaller words from a bigger one but then doesn't recognise soooo many words from the English dictionary is a fail. Everything else is very nice with this game but wow too many simple English words aren't recognised. Get that part right and the game becomes recommended.
I would have loved giving this game thumbs up, even if some of the vocabulary was questionable, however after level 255, the game continues to crash. I cannot click to the next level. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, and nothing fixes it. For this reason, I had to give thumbs down. If this bug is fixed, it's a fun little game. You are given a large word and you find smaller words within it. I played it on and off for months, it's why I'm overly sad I can't complete it.
Developer of this game very clearly doesn't know English, and just took a bunch of random words from the dictionary to count as valid words, up to and not including random country's monetary currency, random measuremeants like ml, dl, etc. But NOT counting words like ran, reap, eat, neat, detain? Basic english vocabulary?
I don't know why their dictionary was so bad.

Wordlase 10/10
Palavras e crashes aleatórios no meio do jogo...
Оформление слишком простовато, музыка надоедает и не сразу вдупляешь, что переходить на уровень нужно в определённый момент, когда игра посчитает, что составилено достаточно слов и появляется стрелочка перехода на следующий уровень. По крайней мере слова можно набирать с клавиатуры, но это сейравно игру не спасает, ведь слишком много несуществующих слов из двух букв... Лучше бы сделали поменьше уровней (а тут их столько, что умом тронешься), но покачественнее.
