The Ancient Seal of Terrabruma has shattered, unleashing the forces of Chaos once more. As one of the last Mages of Wizordum sanctuary, you must embark on a quest to find the source of this corruption and push the Chaos back before they consume the kingdom in a speedrun-friendly fantasy FPS tearing a page from the spellbooks of ‘90s fantasy FPS classics like Hexen and Heretic.

This game is just straight up awesome!
TL;DR: A more forgiving and less hectic Doom. A bit heavier on the discovery aspect, and the art style and theme are compelling and unique to the point where it assumes it's own identity. It is rife with bugs though, some of which made me have to restart and entire level which is annoying on any difficulty. Be careful in episode 2 when you get to Banshees, they can and will fly out of the bounding box and you will typically have to restart the level and make sure to kill them before that happens.
The reason I never finish these games: I end up walking around an empty map for an hour looking for all the secrets. Can't let it go. This one has a secrets map in each level, which slightly ameliorates my anxiety. Mostly I'm just glad to play an Apogee game in 2026.

This is great fun to just sit and blast through. Great look to it. Nothing to complain about. If you like the look of it, you'll like it.
Incredibly fun game with fun class options, you have the ability to create and play custom maps and hoping for a chaos gate expansion for post-story stuff
