Witch Hunters: Stolen Beauty Collector's Edition

You are Angelica listening to your grandmother reminiscing about her school days. She mentioned that the headmistress was a witch and as she speaks her name, the witch materialises in the room! You come between grandma and the witch and lose your youth in the process. To gain it back you have to go back to grandma's old school. The story line expands as you meet other characters, but I won't spoil it for you. This is a very short HO....only took 5 hours. There is no bonus chapter despite it being a collector's edition...no extras at all! This game is a classic example of having great potential, but falls flat. Graphics are beautiful in a decaying way. Music was a bit annoying at times, especially during HO scenes where it was almost like rock music. Very jarring to say the least! There is no map in this game. It really needs it because there is a lot of needless back tracking....and this is what pads the game out. HO scenes are decent. There are no collectibles nor any morphing objects....so a very basic HO game. Puzzles are adequate but fairly easy to do. There are no voiceovers....just pop up dialogue. I found starting and exiting the game to be very clunky. Takes about 15 seconds to load up and shut down....and you're staring at a black screen with music in the background. Some HO objects were lost in translation e.g. a safety pin was called a clothespin. There is another blunder but I can't remember what object it was. So overall, this was an average game which missed the potential to be great. Very short, so buy on sale. 6.5/10

You play as Angelica, who is listening to her grandmother’s story about her school days… when the tale calls forth a witch who tries to curse her grandmother. Angelica gets in the way, and is stripped of her youth in the process. Now, you have to get that youth back by revisiting your grandmother’s boarding school and breaking the witch’s curse. An exciting plot, fun HO scenes, and challenging minigames await.
