WTC 1/Redux is the origin story of how the protagonist (that is, you !) unknowningly ends up in England. When a long forgotten mission resurfaces, your nemesis takes drastic measures to deal with it - including taking you along with her.

Vn short to hang out.
Genre
Eine Visual Novel
Story
Gameplay
Man braucht außerdem das Kostenlose DLC: Welcome To... Chichester: Episode 0" und dieses muss man vorher spielen (man findet die Exe Datei im Spiele Ordner)
Pro/Contra
+ Kostenlos + Gute Story + Sehr Gute Musik + Gute Charakter Entwicklung + Netter Art Style + Achievements
Fazit

Follow Main group
Follow Second group
WTC ..Spy is a very different VN to the norm, and whether you like its wacky, fast-paced approach or not will ultimately come down to personal taste far more than the actual quality of content on offer. You play as the male agent Ethan Lewis of the spy agency Phoenix Custodians, led by a particularly perverted boss whose job, it would seem, is to lust after his female staff. His latest secretary even has the cheesy sexual innuendo spoonerism name “Tia Fritz” - this is typical of the humour applied through the game. Ethan's own secretary, Lorinda Ella, is also his girlfriend, and she is violently/jealously protective of him. The primary antagonist, Grendel Jinx, is the boss of an opposing spy agency, Council Of The Unseen. The story never explains what it is that either of these companies actually does, except try to destroy one another... a state of affairs which also exists between Ethan and Grendel. However, despite being arch nemeses, these characters also have a persistent love-to-hate, and indeed, hate-to-love each other undercurrent running throughout. From the start, the game quickly throws the player into a “boss fight” with Grendel. This gives you three hit or avoidance options, which you need to select very quickly before a timer runs out. I strongly urge that you save immediately before starting this sequence, and again after every successful hit or evasion. You will lose this battle at the first time of asking, but this gives an achievement anyway. However, subsequent losses will be frustrating, and as the correct action is randomised each time, you cannot even make a log of where you went wrong in the hope of correcting your decision next time around. I hated this feature – I do not want a random-pot-luck-reflex-speedtest in a visual novel; and coming right at the start of the game, it does not do player mindset any favours for what is to follow. The story develops at a steady pace despite the illusion of great speed generated by the very short chapters. There is just enough characterisation to make every participant feel like an individual with a personality, but not enough for them to be relatable. I did not really care what happened to the main players, while at the same time, carried just enough interest to see where the story went. Primary plus and minus points: + The backgrounds and sprites are all decent-to-good. + Some of the humour works. There are several smiles to be had. + The intro sequence is enjoyable and attractive. + The score is lively and fun throughout. + The story is just enough to maintain interest and ends nicely to lead in to the next instalment without resorting to an annoying cliffhanger. - The infuriating boss fight mechanic. - There are too many blank, black background scenes. - We never get to see the MC. There is no sprite for him. - The game twice crashed to an error screen for me, although on both occasions I was able to “ignore” and carry on. - One of the achievements is hidden behind a DLC paywall. The DLC concerned may be very cheap, but in principle, this is a low move which I cannot support. - There are at least 3 occasions during conversations where the wrong sprite and name are applied for the character who is meant to be speaking. This is confusing when you first see it, although it shouldn't take more than a moment to figure out when it does happen. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1823155680 Overall there is some fun to be had from the game, which (if played through in full) should provide you with 3-4 hours of entertainment; but the style is not going to appeal to everyone. For me it is a miss, and therefore I cannot give a recommendation; although it is quite a close call. I'd suggest taking a look at the free demo, and if that appeals to you, then by all means go for it. With such a low price point, even if you do not enjoy it, you should not come away feeling too disappointed. A promise once long forgotten comes back with clarity so strong it reinvigorates the need to make it come true WTC Redux : The spy of America and the Long Vacation takes the reader back to where it all began of the mutual rivalry between Grendel Jinx & The Council of the Unseen and Spy & The Phoenix Custodians and what better way to portray this than through a.... BOSS FIGHT!!! For anyone new to the Welcome to... Chichester (WTC) games expect a lot of wild, pun-tastic humour mixed with short, flowing action-laden chapters that opens up a world packed with dramatic espionage and interesting characters that are all as equally lively as the main protagonist creating a well balanced plot that hardly lets you go from the start. The game is created using Ren'py with great use of character art & BG's plus it features another wonderful artistic credits video designed by RenderForest alongside music by Josh Woodward continuing on from previous versions showcased in earlier games. The VN has multiple-choice routes with 3 varying endings and Achievements for the Hunters out there! There are DLC's alongside this release that adds further story to events that occur such as Katherine's Game and a future release of Spy's predicament attempting to escape the Council of the Unseen's HQ among others. The developer has plenty planned for this ongoing series of games including a finale WTC part 3! Yet..through it all.. reflecting back to the events which helped to deliver on a promise once long forgotten will soon transpire as Redux's chapters come to a close ~~~~ Liked what you see? Welcome To... Chichester Redux is a better Version of the Original First Part. In it you can learn more about the Companies and the Relationship between Grendl and the main Character. If you already played the Second Part, I would recommend also getting this Game since it gives u a better understanding of what actually is going on. However for me some parts of the Story are a little confusing, or dont make that much sense. Just from a Story Point of View this isnt a Masterpiece, nevertheless it is a good Prequel and for the low Pricepoint also priced fair. The Art and the Spelling and Grammer are as good as in both the other Games and follow the same style. If you havent played them yet I would recommend playing the Original first Part before to see how you like the Style. For me they do the job but arent anything special. In the End, I would say get this Game if you played one of the other Parts and enjoyed it.If you are new to the Game, only buy this if you are looking for a somewhat crazy and for sure different approach to VNs since the Story really isnt the usual. Translation: 9.5/10 Art: 5/10 Story: 5.5/10 Overall: 6.5/10 PS: This one isnt as funny as the Second Part
