good game with an original plot, good puzzles: 7,5/10
I can't remember how this game got into my wishlist, to be honest. Might have been a friend-of-a-friend recommendation. This prevents me from thanking whoever pointed me towards it. I also would like to thank Andrew from Stasis Booth Games for giving us this labour of love. I am sure it was something very close to his heart, and it really shows how much he cares for this game. We Are Not Alone felt gimmicky at first, with its perspective switching as a game mechanic. After playing for a few hours I can only say that it works, it draws you in and you start feeling it less as a gimmick and more as a tool. I am really enjoying my time with it and I can't wait to dive deeper into its story. Right now, games have taken a step back and family life took their place, but I still have one or two hours to pour into something worth experiencing, and We Are Not Alone is a great way to enjoy those brief gaming moments. I sincerely hope you, reader, give it a chance to grow on you too.
I'm rather pleased with this game. I very much agree with other reviews that the unique mechanics with the camera elevate the game play. Things can feel a little jank at times but I very much enjoyed the story and the camera mechanic (and when you didn't have the thing in your hands) made for some pretty intense moments. All and all, I feel it's very worth the price for being a short, entertaining horror game that while not terrifying, kept me guessing a few details and on the edge enough in some moments to want more.
Amazing game cant wait to see what else this team has to often!
I really enjoyed this game! The storyline was intriguing and the ending left me wanting more. The game mechanics were great and the game spends a decent amount of time at the beginning making sure you understand the game play. The game does have auto save but I will suggest if you or someone who is new to playing games like this as I am, I would save often Because I definitely had to redo a whole part because of one small mistake that killed me! Definitely one of my favourite games of the year and I am excited to see what happens next!
I absolutely loved the story AND the gameplay mechanics, switching between first person and fixed cameras was absolutely genius. I'm not going to spoil anything but I'm extremely excited for things to come from the developer 🥰. PS I'm not being biased just because I'm a voice actor in it, I did genuinely love it, a rare experience that I actually stream for almost 4 straight hours so I was deep into it! I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I did! https://www.youtube.com/live/BjVrIGI2rLc?si=p3d5wGTlKpWR9PDU
i am about 2 and half hrs in and i am loving this new take in this game it is very unique and takes alot of thinking to solve something it toke me and my chat 30mins to figure out a part as well was playing on hard (nothing is highlighted) aswell. i really didnt mind either cause i really wanted to solve it. my only con's so far is the characters voices are all different volumes with charlie being the lowest and cant hear him much riley is i would say perfect volume but geoff is the loudest if the volumes could be fixed that would be amazing other than that i 100% recommend this game. receive as a gift from a very shady horned gorse
Absolutely incredible psychological horror
A surprisingly good point & click + first person adventure game, as you play some parts in first person and some parts in fixed camera with point & click movement. When the game first began, I was hesitant to continue because graphics looked off and animations were a little bit stiff. But as I continued I realized that the core gameplay is actually quite good and the story was intriguing enough to make me keep going. Music gets a little bit repetitive at times and voice acting is okay at best, but for the price point, I can forgive those, as I would be okay with no voice acting as well. My first playthrough took about 4 hours, but I might return to this as there were things that you can do differently and I want to check those out as well. 7/10 recommended with full price.
