This game is a lot like passing a kidney stone, except the pain never stops
Wish there was a neutral review. Game was entertaining the first 10 minutes. After understanding how it works, I started to notice that the egg most of the time isn't there, but you get killed nonetheless. I pushed to the end because I don't like to leave things unfinished... Then on the final cutscene the egg showed up (it wasn't in the room, again) and killed me. Just watched the rest of the ending in YouTube (2 lines) and moved on. The idea is great. But the bugs are annoying. I won't refund the game since "I finished it" but you'd certainly deserve it.
This was a pretty fun game. I like stuff like this where there's different creatures you have to avoid in different ways. It doesn't cost much and you get an alright experience. Some stuff I liked: - I like the different monsters you can encounter. It felt like a good amount without being too much. - I like the upgrades you can get, like the flashlight booster for example. - The randomization of the floors makes it really feel different each time. Feedback: - The monsters didn't spawn nearly enough. It would sometimes be a while before I spotted any. - The walking speed is a little slow. I like the sprint, but sometimes I wanna just walk to be cautious. - I feel like the big ol' spider egg should make some sort of noise when he's nearby, so you have just a little more headsup to watch out. - This didn't really feel like a prison/juvie like it was supposed to be? It felt more like an office or someone's house than anything else - My biggest note would be the 'tutorial'. It tells you almost nothing on house to defeat the creatures, except in the most vague manner. It notes that for quick ones you should run away, for others certain lights do the trick and this isn't super clear when looking at them. At least not to me. Would like it to be a bit more spelled out. - What was the cat for? What did it do? Was it an enemy? A friend? Idk, this is just more my curiosity than anything else. Overall, good game and would love to see this redone or a sequel of some kind.
My 2 year old and I had fun running from the scary egg. Took us 90 mins of playtime to beat it.
The game is amusing and challenging. You just need to read the instructions carefully before playing as it took me sometime to realize that the cat is a good companion, the horrific baby should be destroyed exactly like the egg and you should run from the multi-legged creature.
