Still needs work, but I do enjoy playing.
Jesus Christ! Why all the negative reviews?! People are nuts. It's good, although not perfect and good hardware is recommended. I'd play this over CotW all day!
Overall, this game is amazing. The scenery and the sounds of nature are beautiful. Animals a modeled great too. This game is already outstanding, and once fully released, will have a ton of potential. Cant wait to see whats in store down the road. These guys would make a great fishing game as well!!!
game is damn near unplayable in its current state i cant put attachments on anything unless I'm in single player and if you want to make progress you'll need to set aside at least 10 hours a day for weeks in 5 hours of playing i only made $1600 and 5 levels i had to use mods just to play more of the game
I'm setting this as a "tentative" thumbs up only because I've enjoyed the game in the 2 hours I've played the game for the relatively affordable price this game is being sold for (if you get it on sale), but there are certainly a LOT of things that the developers need to add to the game (better performance, more firearms, more maps, etc.). If you can afford the sheer amount of DLC for theHunter Call of the Wild I would definitely go for that game instead. I imagine the first Way of the Hunter game is probably more fleshed out as well. On an unrelated note, why are my dogs balls so well modeled in this game? Of the things the game does get right, I wasn't expecting dog balls to be the thing.
Fun
Ich fand es schon schwer bei der ersten Version von The Way of the Hunter die Tiere zu finden die man erschossen hat... ich spiele jetzt 9 stunden The Way of the Hunter 2 und bin echt langsam sauer.... ich habe über 20 Tiere geschossen und genau 2 davon gefunden ... das sind 10 % von den geschossenen Tieren die ich auch verwerten konnte..... lächerlich..... man sieht kaum Spuren ... bedürfnissgebiete sind genauso shcwer zu finden .... ich muss gestehen habe mir mehr erwartet und im nachhinein ärgere ich mich das ich das geld für version 2 ausgegeben habe....
fun has a lot of bugs
First impressions after about 6h of play *Not recommended at this stage* The game is beautiful, the audio is good, ballistics are funky and the grind system is a disaster. I do not think I will make it past level 12-15. I would like to hunt not chase "objectives". Having to shoot 50 of whatever I can find just so I can get another rifle or attachment is ridiculously boring. But hey, you can't buy it anyway cause you need another 20 levels of grind.
I cannot recommend this at it's current stage. Several fatal error crashes to desktop within 40 minutes while simply interacting with animal tracks or other objects, or accidentally pressing a "wrong button" while looking through binos because I'm used to a different game and some keybinds from that are stored in my muscle memory... Yes, I know it is early access, but whenever money is changing hands for a product or service, it should at the very least be usable - in case of a game, playable. Bugs affecting the game otherwise and/or lack of content and mechanics in the EA phase is perfectly understandable, but constant repeatable crashes from basic interactions isn't.
