Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 5/day in the week to Aug 11 → 14.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Way of the Hunter 2 delivers a deeper, more dynamic hunting experience built around living ecosystems, advanced animal behavior, and three distinct hunting regions. Track game across a vast North American wilderness, face dangerous wildlife in an African hunting ground, and explore a Rocky Mountain region centered around the Hearth & Hunt Headquarters lodge — an expandable hunting hub with additional rooms, display space, and trophy mounts for showcasing trophies from current and future hunting grounds.
Animals behave and react naturally to their surroundings, rewarding players who carefully study tracks, movement patterns, and habitat conditions before taking a shot. Players can also venture out freely to explore the wilderness, enjoy spontaneous hunts, and experience the beauty of nature alongside their dog companion. Expanding on the foundation of the original game, the sequel sharpens realism, accessibility, and player freedom while preserving the deliberate pacing and authenticity that define the series.
Experience the thrill of the hunt across diverse wilderness regions in North America and Africa. Track and display big game like Moose, Elk, Bears, Bison, and a wide range of smaller animals and birds. In Africa, face some of the world’s most dangerous wildlife, including massive hippos, thunderous buffalo, prowling lions, and stealthy Nile crocodiles.
Way of the Hunter 2's goal is to become the most authentic and advanced virtual hunting experience. Building upon our previous experience, invaluable player feedback, and countless iterations this game will start as the foundation for many updates, expansions and a true long-term support.
As an adaptable hunter building your reputation, you’ll take on unique challenges across three breathtaking hunting regions after being recruited by Hearth & Hunt to help local residents, work alongside your new Hearth & Hunt colleagues, and preserve regional ecosystems. In New Laurentia, investigate the unusual behavior of the local moose population with the help of a skilled dog trainer and a former warden.
In Kilimaya Reserve, support a renowned safari guide, train with an eccentric archery expert, and track down a legendary retired huntress while helping maintain the balance of the ecosystem. Meanwhile, deep in the Rocky Mountains, a colorful elderly Irish carpenter is more than happy to turn your hard-earned cash into lodge expansions with extra rooms and trophy displays—usually while distracting you with stories about mushrooms and local folklore.
Hunting Dog: A loyal companion that detects animal signs, follows blood trails, and tracks wounded game. With regular exercise and training, it grows more skilled over time.
Shot review: Our improved bullet camera lets you break down every shot with precision. Analyze trajectory, speed, angle, placement, and more — learn how to make the perfect shot, every time.
High-Tech Equipment: Advanced gear sharpens your instincts, delivering a more immersive hunting experience with thermal night vision and enhanced reserve monitoring to manage habitats.
Hearth & Hunt Headquarters: A smaller Rocky Mountain hub map where you can unwind or explore the surrounding wilderness. Expand the Lodge as your hunting adventures continue, then fill it with your favorite trophies from across all regions.

NO multiplayer which was the best thing about the first game.
81 minutes of almost forgetting my IRL problems. 81 minutes of not regretting spending 24 EUR, despite my unenviable financial situation. 81 minutes of finally saying "goodbye" to CotW. 81 minutes of remembering how hard it actually is to go prone and trying to clearly see something 50 metres away with a spotting/rifle scope through something as trivial as 30-50 centimeters tall grass. 81 minutes of not forgetting Paul Harrell's (rest in piece, legend) truism "there is no replacement for shot placement". 81 minutes of unadulterated immersion. I've almost forgotten that this is one of the main reasons for me loving videogames in general. Thank you, Nine Rock Games, for this masterpiece! I am sure that you're currently working on performance improvement (it's not the best right now). As I've stated in the latest survey, I still dream about the total control over my weapon, Tarkov-style/Receiver 2-style and I am almost sure that you won't disappoint me, because my prediction about WotH getting a hunting dog companion, despite your multiple denials, came up true; it's just that the software is now called "WotH2". :) Cheers to you! <3 I haven't tried BULT so far, but my current take is that, other than WotH2, there is no better (i.e. more immersive and less unrealistic) hunting simulation game in existence at the moment.

Nope, just nope. First of all is very bad optimization. Sure I don't have a powerful machine, but what is this map rendering. My fps is around 43 the whole with default setting. The graphic looks great I will give you that, but nothing else is. And that was 30 minutes in the game's tutorial. Just that and I already dislike it. I have played both The hunter call of the wild and Ways of the hunter 1. Both games have different target audience, but they are fun to play and mostly realistic enough, but this game? In what way is difficulty slide realistic? Ah yes so realistic when you walk 20 meters and found a group of deer, shoot it collect it, walk another 20 meters, and found 2 more groups of deer. Like why? I literally collected 4 deer from 4 different groups within the first 10 minutes of free play. Not even to start with the hand holding of this game. Ok, in the first game you can activate and deactivate the sense right? In this it kinda works like that too except I can see most the info still. When animal make a sound I can still see it from 150 meters away and it still blocks my view saying deer 150m away, calm...... like I close it why do I still see the detailed info? Not to mention the sense or assist mode just showing everything around you. Why do I need a binocular if I can just aim and see the distance? And why can I hear the turkeys' footsteps so loudly from 60 meters away? Not to mention the noise of deer walking in circle in the same spot. And why is it that animals do not have any effect on grass what so ever? Like even the corpse has grass through their body. Honestly, in that short amount of time I played, I really did not enjoy the game at all. Yes, you could just turn the settings you don't like off, but think about first experience of both old and new players. In the first game I also turned off the settings I do not like, but even without turning them off it was fun in its own way. On the other hand this game is just..... nothing at all. I feel nothing but disappointment playing this game. Animals don't really get alerted. I have yet to see animals run away while I am stalking them, even though it said alert sus noise, it just stood there.... I saw some comments said this game is better than The Hunter Call of the Wild.... I beg to differ, if this was Ways of the Hunter 1 then maybe, but not this.... Oh well, all of this is my own opinion and experience, if you somehow got way better experience than I did then good for you. This is just not for me. And Dev please at least optimize the game better. What do you mean the minimum requirement is 2060 and the recommended is 4060ti? Does that even make sense?
The game doesn't have colour blind support options, so tracking red blood splatter in green grass is really difficult if you're colourblind
No optimization. The game runs poorly even on powerful hardware. FPS is inconsistent, there are noticeable stutters and performance drops, and changing graphics settings barely helps. The game has potential, but it needs serious optimization before I can recommend it.
So I ran out of money while trying to complete the tutorial. I dunno man, it seems like this game is not very finished. In fact, I might call it slop. Is it AI slop? We don't know! It could be! One never knows nowadays!
Пока на две головы ниже, чем Way of the Hunter!
2 and a half out of 5. Spent an hour and a half waiting for zebras, 10 appeared and i followed for 15 because terrain was bad. They go over a hill and i follow, buffalos make some some noise nearby and i look, look back and 10 1 star hyenas instead, there was a four star zebra. It happened at least 5 or 6 times with other species, a new species appeared when i look away. So annoyed I hunted honey badgers to extinction. Good game mechanics and such but, if i waited for a certain animal I'd like to have it.
