Pretty jank, but there are Workshop maps and committed, active developers. Closest we're at theHunter: Primal on Steam in 2026. e: Additionally, I would like the original Carnivores series here as well. If you can lobby for that, please do so.
A fun hunting game created by only two developers (as far as i know). Despite launching over 5 years ago, the developers are still actively improving the game and add new dinosaurs, equipment, maps, etc. There is already a growing number of dinosaurs in the game, from large carnivores to herbivores, and it's a fun game if you like hunting simulators as well as dinosaurs. I bought the game back in 2023 and it was fine then, but it keeps getting better with every update, thanks to the hard-working developers. Players are very friendly too, in my experience, and have helped me out a lot.
maybe the worst game I have played the amount of grind it takes its unreal
I think the concept is good and I hope the game will get there eventually, but it still needs a LOT of work. It's good it's still actively being worked on but I think it's pretty rough for a nearly six year old game. Complaining generally, there is lots of jank, clipping through terrain, etc. For more specific complaints: - Movement is slow and tedious across maps that feel too large - Rewards are too small and progression is painfully slow - All weapons kinda feel the same within their categories - Nighttime is so dark and falls so suddenly that it's basically a death sentence if you're away from a camp and unable to sleep - Sometimes the damage just doesn't make sense and feels unrealistic. I know complaining about realism in a game about hunting dinosaurs is kinda silly, but this is probably my biggest complaint. Examples I have encountered include needing repeated headshots from high-powered rifles to take down animals with small heads, dinosaurs tanking multiple rifle shots to the face and continuing to charge totally unaffected, and needing to shoot small dinosaurs multiple times point blank with rifles to kill them. In my opinion this makes things feel a bit goofier than they need to and makes the weapons feel very anemic and almost useless at times. I understand there needs to be some challenge, but I don't think making everything a bullet sponge is a fun or engaging way to do that. It's probably worth picking up on sale if you want to screw around and get a little better bang for your buck, but I would definitely not recommend it at full price.
A little disappointing. Cool conceptually, but the game doesn't really deliver. The movement is slow and the map is huge. Which is not necessarily a bad thing but when compounded with the slow movement, no stamina, and no vehicles to accelerate movement it just feels like a chore to play. The physics are pretty janky, ragdoll especially. Dinosaurs do behave as you would expect, though they don't seem to interact with each other. I wanted to like this, but it's just not really in a good state yet. There are dinosaur nextbots for G Mod that scratch the itch better.
This game is very enjoyable wish their was more creatures like prehistoric mammals, or more dinosaurs and more maps would be cool
This is a great game. Really close to thehunter: Primal, except if they continued updating the game. I am really hoping for more updates and optimization, but so far even as it is right now, I am having lots of fun. It is a bit janky at times, such as falling through the world and dinosaurs having a hard time pathfinding sometimes, but I know that if the developers want this game to succeed and put a lot of time and effort into it, it will become fantastic.

Just like the prehistoric days...I remember them
