Reviews
This is probably the best boomer shooter out there right now. The production quality is insane, the mechanics feel great, and the arena-shooter-style purge system works well. The weapons and grenades are fun without being overcomplicated, the levels are easy to navigate, the challenge feels fair, and it runs beautifully. Honestly, what’s not to like?

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 30: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I don't hate this game but I can't recommend it over most other retro shooters. It's very simple and repetitive compared to its peers, and even the original 90s shooters. The biggest problem is the weapons. There are the 40K favourites (bolter, heavy bolter, plasma, melta, etc.) but every one's just a simple DPS wand, and even that doesn't vary as much as you'd think. They're really lacking in clear use cases compared to games like Ion Fury or Dusk (or even Doom, Quake, Duke Nukem, etc). The only thing to consider is "how spongy is this enemy? What do I have ammo for?" The lack of enemy variety makes this worse. On paper there are lots of different enemies but they all shoot very similar projectiles and melee you if you get too close so they don't feel different (and the few exceptions are the worst kind of rush enemy). This means there's no real encounter variety: whatever's in front of you, just hold left click and keep moving. If you want a retro shooter, I'd recommend Dusk, Selaco, Ion Fury or the original Doom games. If you want a space marine power fantasy, despite all its flaws I'd recommend Space Marine over this.
Boomer shooter heresy with a retro coat of paint.

A line on the ground telling you where to find the key instead of interesting navigation with an automap to explore.
Pickups littered everywhere instead of a well balanced ammo/health economy.
Long arena battles with enemies spawning in waves, hedged by an autosave right before the fight instead of thoughtful, level wide design awareness.
A strong initial impression but the cracks show by just the third level. I get the feeling the developers don't understand what actually makes a boomer shooter good. Play some of the newly added episodes from the id games you already own instead.
Decimating pixelated heretics was never more fun!
Absolutely amazing boomer-shooters. Interesting maps, strength mechanic is pretty fun. Fights are fast paced and even the mandatory arena sections don't feel like that much of a slow down. 9/10.
I can definitely see why people enjoy this game. It captures that old-school fast-paced gameplay pretty well, and the Warhammer atmosphere is honestly solid. The weapons feel punchy, the pixel art style is cool, and the soundtrack does its job. However, after a few hours the game started feeling pretty stale to me. The combat loop barely evolves, enemy encounters become repetitive, and the level design started blending together more than I expected. I understand the appeal of keeping things “classic,” but personally I felt like the game relied a bit too much on nostalgia without adding enough variety to keep me hooked long-term. I don’t think it’s a bad game at all. Tt just didn’t fully click with me unfortunately. If you’re a massive Warhammer fan or deeply into retro shooters, you’ll probably enjoy it more than I did.
Игра визуально стилевая и ряльно в духе дума. Но, на сколько слабая повествовательная база в этой игре, просто 24 слепленных уровней малосвязанных между собой. Кайфануть от игры можно, но как будто-бы слабовато
