The new reference in RTS at its best! The Wargame series returns to duty, larger, richer and more spectacular than ever before. In Wargame Red Dragon, you are engaged in a large-scale conflict where Western forces clash against the Communist bloc.

Bis jetzt bestes RTS-Spiel meiner Meinung nach. Besser als die neueren Spiele wie Warno oder Broken Arrow. Kann es nur empfehlen, trotz des Alters gute Grafik und bestes Spielerlebnis.
You learn by losing horrifically and trying 5874 times till you win against easy bot.
I boot up Wargame: Red Dragon every once in a while because it has something very few games have: late Cold War warfare with scripted but somewhat dynamic campaigns. The predecessors, Wargame: European Escalation and Wargame: AirLand Battle are good but both have elements that are so refined in W: RD that it makes it hard to go back to them. However, as a guy who mostly plays this for the campaigns, this game becomes frustrating on repeat playthroughs for a couple of reasons: - With only a handful of scripted campaigns, and only one that I would consider to be on a grand scale, they get boring after a while. Now I suppose that you can't ask for a game that has an unlimited amount of campaigns, but I think this game could have benefitted from: a campaign about the 2nd Korean War from the PoV of the USSR/North Korea, a campaign set in Europe again like in AirLand Battle (playing as NATO or Warsaw Pact) and a campaign format that didn't have such a strict time limit and with some random events thrown in (like in W: ALB). - The naval battles are atrociously boring - ships will shoot at each other for minutes with little happening. The AI is easy to trick into throwing their best ships into the grinder but that isn't fun to watch either. - The battle auto resolve function blows chunks. In a battle where you got an overwhelming advantage you'll take nonsense losses (losing all your best aircraft to an enemy with barely any AA??) and if it's anything close to an even fight your army will become totally crippled. If you only play PvP, you probably don't care about any of this and can ignore it. If you want a solid Cold War RTS - buy this.
This game is proof that I shouldn't lead anyone.

I want my money back. Is not what i paid for. The in-game experience is accelerated and you can understand what is going on, the deployment of the troops is ridiculous and the tutorials are vaguely explicated.
I received this game as a kid in 2016 and was truly sad that my old PC couldn't run the game properly. You can't imagine the enjoyment of playing this on full FPS after sooo many years. I just do not understand how this game came out in 2014 with this graphic detaills and amazing effects. I am willing to say it is still much better game than WARNO and Broken Arrow because of the massive number of units and maps. And mainly..... SHIPS!!! Sometimes, in deployment time, I am staring at random lake or seaside and wishing to have this behind my house :(
