I feel this game is where Eugen Systems really peaked. The games before and afterwards are (well most of them) fine, some are great. But they always fall short compared to this gem. It is the best RTS I played in my life, and I played most of them. Gameplay-wise I do not think you could do better. It comes with some downsides though: The game does not have a steep learning curve, but a hard learning wall. I was immensly frustrated repeatedly trying to get into it at first, as the "introduction campaign" feels tough even today, after many hours of playing. It feels like the devs did not know what made their game difficult. It doesn´t even help too much if you start with the earlier parts of the series, as gameplay changed heavily across the entries. Ship combat definitely is the weak part of the game and I would like to be able to skip all of it. The AI cheats hard on these and I always find myself using ... gamey tactics to just get through. In multiplayer, it isn´t much better (in my opinion). At least there are not too many (in singleplayer) and in multiplayer the naval system is optional, so you can just choose not to play it. In Multiplayer, you feel some power creep from the expansions and some playable factions feel lackluster (the koreas f.e. ) compared to the new ones (yugoslavia f.e.). If you can get over that, you will find a great game, with ample content, quite interesting campaigns (especially 2nd Korean War). It really hurts me that I played the singleplayer campaigns so many times that I can not enjoy playing them anymore and I wished that the developer would just have continued producing more campaigns than the 5 the game has. If it had some map making tools or a basic "campaign editor" [even with just the maps that the game came with] or... mod support it would be the greatest of all time. Sadly, as some others commented already, it hasn´t and thus this game is on its last leg. Multiplayer is, as of today, still alive, but it will die at some point. I´d be happy if new players joined but... idk. It´d probably suck for them. I myself don´t go there anymore. But if I could forget and re-live it, I´d for sure do it again.

7/10 チュートリアルが実質ない上、覚えるべきことがめちゃくちゃ多い。 言い換えると「難易度が高く、ハードルも高いゲーム」。 個人的にいいゲームと思うが、RTSに馴染んでない人には非推奨。
