GRAET GAME
There is one heck of al learning curve with this game. It is very complex. However, it has a excellent tutorial and the many examples are fun to play. There is a manual, but it is quite long and I found it of limited aid, at least as I'm learning the game through tutorials. I'm still going through the tutorials.

Fun, but you need to be willing to play with mods
Been watching Wolfpack play this game on his stream and decided to get it.
If you've played Atlantic Fleet and hoped you could play either a Pacific equivalent of that (We'll ignore the mobile brother of Atlantic Fleet) or non-turn based version then this is it. But I can only ever recommend trying the game out on sale. The game is basically developmentally dead, completely unannounced. The game is arguably still pretty barebones. Gameplay is pretty simple all things considered and there is only ever 1 map to play, although it is a dynamic campaign objectives are always the same. AI is also pretty much braindead, it can barely pathfind properly and aim accurately even at close range with 99% firing solution. The AI in air battles are even worse and you cannot speed the battle up due to technical limitations, resulting in you sitting for about 5-10 real minutes per air battle watching the world's worst pilots duke it out often at your loss, you can easily rack up 30 minutes to an hour at how frequent air battles are, it is un-exciting and completely miserable. Good news is mods are available off another site and there is a config in the files easily accessible for you to do whatever to the campaign.

uhhh... it's ok i guess. not nearly as good as cold waters. you need to baby the controls way more than in cold waters in order to get anything done. the spacing of ships in formation is annoyingly tight. the goofiest quirk of this game i've noticed so far is that submarines are literally only useful because if you have one in a task force, enemy submarines start encounters right next to yours, miles away from your surface ships, instead of in the ideal torpedoing position they'd normally get for free. other than that it's pretty hard to justify spending your points on them.
the npcs always have the ability to hit nearly every time, yet when u try its no good
this game is terrible dont buy it
I wanted a naval warfare game so couldn't decide between this one , Cold Waters or Atlantic Fleet so bought all three in the last Steam sale so I'm trying to dedicate some time to learning about each game one by one This one has a very steep learning curve , in fact it's deeper than the Mariana Trench. I've spent 12 hours on it so far and and every second of that time has been spent on the tutorials. I've also spent a massive amount of time on youtube tutorials because the ones that come with the game aren't all that clear to a newbie and it's only now that I'm getting a grasp for War On The Sea That said despite these reservations if you're patient and after an immersive naval warfare game this might be what you're after , though I bought it dirt cheap during a sale and maybe I wouldn't have been forgiving if I spent thirty pounds sterling outside the sale period
