Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.29/day in the week to Aug 16 → 6.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

比某绿色小鸟更好。非常推荐。唯一槽点是在玩了太多口袋妖怪之后,总感觉和NPC面对面会突然战斗起来。
I have been on-and-off learning Japanese my whole life. I've used lots of apps (Busuu, Duolingo), taken formal classes, and the YouTube video route. I really, really like Wagotabi as a language learning tool and I would love to see this model repeated for other languages. The key benefits I found with Wagotabi over other methods I've tried (specifically for Japanese) - -You will be able to read Hiragana a lot faster with Wagotabi than other methods. The game does not hold your hand here and they don't teach you everything with English characters first like most programs do it. -You'll learn sentence structure quicker. -Kanji isn't reserved for after you've mastered the other alphabets. If a word or concept is commonly done with Kanji, you're taught the Kanji early. -You get to learn the language in a practical context, like ordering tea or paying for something. Wagotabi, like all language tools, is not all encompassing. You'll need to put in extra effort because learning a language is difficult. So get a notebook, write down Kanji and words first time you hear them. Also, speak out loud. Don't play the game in silence and expect to be able to use the language, talk back to the game. And that leads me to my negatives - -This game is difficult. It does have accessibility options to take the pressure off of you, but at base the skill challenges specifically discourage you from carefully reading things and instead just providing the answer. I think that's a mistake when you're <10 hours in because now I'm being quizzed and rushing when things should be more focused on comprehension than speed. Maybe my bigger complaint here is all the skills challenges are rated with a 3 star system, Angry Birds style, and I just hate that. Did I do good? No I got 1 star. No errors, I just read everything carefully. That' unnecessarily puts a negative feeling on your performance early in. -I wish the game offered a translation feature for entire sentences. You can click individual parts and put concepts together, but even if you translate every individual word it is still sometimes hard to understand what is being said as a non-native speaker. This would just be a really nice feature.

Wagotabiはとても楽しいです。ポケモンのようなスタイルのゲームです、あそびながら日本語が学べます。 グラフィックも可愛くて、勉強の役に立っています。 おすすめのゲームです。
Watashi wa Japanese desu

Great game. I've finished current main quest (more content is said to be added later) and I can say I've enjoyed Wagotabi. My Japanese has definitely improved. This game is very much worth a purchase if you're interested in learning Japanese. However, from the start, the game expects you to know hiragana and katakana, so I recommend you learn them first if you haven't already.
It might be the best game for learning Japanese. Even though the game is supposed to be suitable for complete beginners, I see it a little differently. I had already learned the hiragana and katakana alphabets beforehand, and even so, I found the beginning relatively challenging. For someone who has never seen hiragana or katakana before, the “barrier” at the start will be even higher than it was for me. Of course, the game tries to teach you the kana symbols step by step. I really like the practical approach of learning words in sentences with voice output right from the start. I’m curious to see what else the game has to offer. Apparently, the game is also updated regularly. For anyone who wants to learn Hiragana and Katakana first, I highly recommend the following games: - Learn Japanese To Survive! Hiragana Battle - Learn Japanese To Survive! Katakana Battle
As someone who has briefly studied Japanese a few times, this project is such a game changer. The game brings me back to early generations of Pokemon, and doesn't feel like I'm studying Japanese. The game is well paced so you actually absorb what you're learning, and if you're more experienced you will just move through things faster until you reach new material. The dictionary, definitions, and explanations are extremely clear which makes the learning process smooth. I also like how Kanji are introduced with words, instead of hiding them until later studies. If you enjoy apps such as Renshuu, but want a change of pace or something else to supplement it, this is the perfect game for you. If you're coming into learning Japanese as a complete beginner, this is such a great place to start. If you don't rush and take your time absorbing everything, you are going to have a fun time and have a great start to your Japanese journey. Huge shoutout to the team who made this, you guys have done an awesome job and I can't wait to keep playing more.

I've reached the same level of Japanese in two days with this game as in 300 days with Duolingo.
