Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.43/day in the week to Aug 11 → 6.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Many, many years ago i sat down to try this new game called Faster than light. My expectations were guarded. I thought if the game is half as good as i think it could be, it will be one of the best games ever. Well, it was late in the afternoon when i tried it out and next thing i remember is catching a glimpse of sky outside my window. I wondered why it was so light outside when it must have been around 11 pm already at least. It was 6 am. I had played through the night. So yesterday i tried out this new game called Void War. I expected it to be pretty good and well... i had played through the night again. So YEEEEEEESS! Yes, i recommend it! It does not have the strong soundtrack like Ben Prunty's but the music is adequate. The more grim and visceral style will be a turn off for some but the gameplay is so good and polished. I myself prefer the more colorful style of A Strange new galaxy but Void War brings a few new twists and additions of it's own. Sadly, no Arnold Rimmer but that's probably just as well because Tundra have already run afoul of GWS' ip, what with all the Imperials and power armor and chaos blood magic and whatnot. Personally, that's a bunch of bs because everything GWS can claim as "ip" is lifted from someone else, not least the likes of Heinlein or Tolkien to name but a few. Speaking of lifting things, some weapons will be very familiar to Faster than light veterans, as will the entire core concept. That is a good thing. Wish there were more games like this. Not many can so effortlessly pull an all-nighter. There are as many ships to unlock + a whole new sector map, new and horrible factions, different ways to suffer and lose oxygen. Some new abilities are pretty powerful, while some concepts from the old game have been tweaked or nerfed. Try to cap enemy ships using melee and you'll find out just how much healing is different. At the same time, you can instantly recall crew back to your ship. And good 'ole airless ships have turned an even worse shade of horrible. Please, stop wasting time reading this but thank you very much if you did. Now go play Void War. It is tremendously good!

its like 40k and FTL had a love child. Its very good and has surprising depth to its game play.
Void War, when you start it up, feels downright copyright infringing on FTL, so I'm glad to hear the devs are ok with it, because after you get into a run, your ship will be overflowing with the wildest ♥♥♥♥ you ever did see in a game like this. My first winning run was a mess of flak bombing, lasers and a thrall or two. My second- which was fought against a different final boss- was a tirade of summoned zombies, boarders, guns and psychic onslaughts. My most recent run damn near tore the ship apart with my crew's minds alone. In summary, FTL 40k but Geller fields aren't a thing yet and you have the choice to be a Word Bearer!
Screw Games Workshop
What if we took all of the complaints from the final fight in FTL and made them worse? Brilliant.
investigated an 'abandoned" ship only for a legally distinct nurgle space marine to awaken and butcher my entire ships crew 10/10
It's a good game, feels like the sequel to FTL that we never got. Main difference with this game is the importance of crew management, and of course the setting. Games Workshop can go ♥♥♥♥ off for that DMCA strike.
In light of the false DMCA BS they had to go through Im buying a copy of this game for any of my friends that want it. Stand up to bullies who abuse the system when they get buttmad.
It's a weird one for me this one. I enjoyed it but I don't feel like I can recommend it. I only played one playthrough of this, so bear in mind there might be some stuff I haven't seen yet. But from what I saw this game is a 90-95% copy of FTL: Faster Than Light. The things that are different is the setting which is very Warhammer 40K like (which I do enjoy), and the expanded crew and crew combat systems. Otherwise it's the same game. The gameplay loop is the same, the UI is almost a 1 to 1 copy, the different systems (weapons, engine, shields etc.), subsystems, traders and currency, everything almost. And the weird thing is, I really enjoyed FTL: Faster Than Light. So you'd might think that if I liked FTL so much and this game is so similar to it, then why can't I recommend it and play more of it. Maybe I've just had enough of FTL and that's why I didn't want to do more than one playthrough/run of this game. I think the issue with this game for me is that it's a copy. It's simply and plainly a copy. They haven't made anything original with this game, they have just burrowed SUPER heavily from FTL and thrown a setting very similar to 40K on it, called it job done and then charged 19.99 € for it. That's 10 € more than FTL by the way. I know games can't always be 100% original, often not even close to that. Often some ideas are just so good that other games of that genre HAS to copy them to make their game successful. But for the vast majority of games, they aren't this similar to another as Void War is to FTL. 90-95% of the ideas, features, or content for this game came from FTL, so there is not that much creativity involved. And so while it's a good copy job of a great game I can't recommend it from a creativity standpoint which I do feel shouldn't be as under valued as it can sometimes feel like. I know they still made and programmed the game themselves, but it's void (hehe) of creativity and it feels more like something that could be a mod to FTL rather than it's own game costing 10 € more than the original.
