Had TF2 characters in it. Good enough for me!
A fantastic blend of roguelike, tower defense, and resource management that somehow makes all three genres work together. Every door you open feels like a gamble, and balancing exploration with survival creates constant tension. The variety of heroes and unlockables gives it plenty of replay value, even when runs end in disaster. Brutal at times, but always addictive enough for "one more run."
This game is fun at first, but the balancing is just doesn't make sense. One floor you feel stronk, and the next floor enemy destroys you. There is a good game here, but the numbers feel like they were guessed. It is not challenging in a fun way. It is just confusing and frustrating 5/10
Neat game, but don't bother. Glitched in a way that prevents progress from being saved, so progression is actually impossible.
Too much RNG in it for me to really be "fun". Small mobs kill heroes too quickly, finding science upgrade stations when it's too late to use them, not getting a useful upgrade for the builds you have going, finding a hero that's not any good with the ones you have, and so on. It's not that skill doesn't play a part, just not enough to make me want to actually play this anymore.
Dungoun of the ENDLESS is an extremely addictive roguelite dungeon crawler & tower defence hybrid with extremely appealing presentation. I've yet to complete my first run, but I can already say that this game will be one I'm coming back to in the years to come. Despite at some points tense gameplay, overall this is an extremely relaxing experience. God-tier music and sound design, apeealing pixel-art, bite-sized jokes in the text barks and descriptions, all this makes it so easy to just ride the wave of flow inside this experience. I like how stacks "just another turn" design throughout. The dungeon is divided by floors, each taking around 10-15 minutes to complete. Each floor is a full narrative and gameplay cycle, with beginning, rising tension (exploration) and a climax (final monster rush). Completing one floor is very satisfying. Each foor consists of rooms. One room is like one turn, all time is measured in opening room doors. Resource gathering, upgrade development, all is tied to doors. You often have just a couple of doors until you gather enough to unlock new building or level-up your characters, so you always want to keep going. Actual combat is real time with pause. This makes it almost turn-like without being sluggish, giving you all the time to think whenever you truly need it. This simultaniously adds to both the relaxing atmosphere of the game, allowing for tenser moments, and to its "one-more-turn" quality. Overall, Dungeon of the ENDLESS might be one of the most comfortable roguelites in my experience, a place to throw away your worries and just spend some time fully immersed in its charm.
good sound
Hard and fun. Don't get discouraged by the difficulties, I feel like they are almost a a joke of sorts. There are two difficulties, "Too Easy" and "Easy", which feel like "Normal" and "Hard". I just won my first run after having owned the game for 11 years, and finally deciding to go for "Too Easy" :)
good enough to be great, could be greater with more features and content, but it's relaxing and engaging almost endelessly as it is.
