Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

ANNO: Mutationem is at least two games in a trenchcoat, that has been stitched together and covered in objectively beautiful pseudo-3D pixelart cyberpunk aesthetics. It's a mix of simplistic investigation and dialogue systems, and a clunky brawler-type of combat system that is focused on buying upgrades to keep up with enemy health pools, and spam 1-2 useful skills thorough the game. And these work relatively well together - the schism comes from the narrative structure of the game, and it stems from the writers wanting way more than they can chew (or write). The game starts out as an immersive, down to earth little thing with fantastic world building. There was/is a virus that was able to turn organic life to robots, so some people have metal arms, some turned to an android fully, wine barrels turned to metal, and of course megacorporations are selling artifical skin for the androids because everything is to be sold, it's cyberpunk. Weirdly, 99,9% of the main story doesn't even interact with this rich worldbuilding. You go around doing tasks, do side quests that can be as simple as "get me a drink" to esoteric "get me something , I'm ready for death", to use elevators to go into unexplained dimensions between the dimensions. It's really weird writing, to be honest. Then in the main story you somehow find out your brother is missing, then you start a chain of quests where you're being sent from location A to location B, the story literally being "he's not here, try there" until the game CHANGES. Suddenly the small, well-contained world will have

otherdimensional, "cackling manially" dark and edgy enemy who just want to fight because he's the strongest,
you get random cutscene at [LOCATION] C and G talking about S (There's also a Castor, but they are not C, why would they)
and there's a monkey with cybernetic implants and a lab coat of course
one antagonist (?) looks literally like Sephiroth is running away from a different antagonist looking guy who is literally a fedora-wearing, carring a gun on strap on his back, covering-face-while-maniacally-laughing-while-throwing-out-their-back anime edgelord
a random unnamed character (child?) you have to fight because you have to fight them because the story demands it I guess
Another child with reality manipulation powers because there are no brakes on this ride
and you have no idea what's going on because they come out of nowhere, Ann, the protagonist never seen them, and we have no information about the backstory. Also, most characters on screen are not named or mentioned, and they mostly talk about offscreen characters so it's just a chaotic mess. But don't worry, the second half of the game is 60% combat and 40% reading lore-dumps from computers, and suddently the game really wants to be not only anime, but also SCP, throwing any originality out of the window. It's genuinely insane. The [1] worldbuilding, the [2]sidequests, the [3]first half of the main story, the [4]second half of the main story are like from 4 different writers and games. The worldbuilding is a genuinely unique cyberpunk world, the first half of the game tries to interact with it, the second half is a self-indulgent SCP/anime fanfiction that even has "cool cutscenes" for the player. It started out as a well-developed and interesting game, into a "go there" story with barely any originality to a subpar brawler interrupted by mediocre anime tropes walls of text that's there to explain things that weren't even around in the first half of the game. This tonal whiplash and inconsistent writing made the game a confusing, and at points unpleasant experience, making it hard to care about it.
ANNO: Mutationem
The game has its own style - I really liked the visuals and atmosphere. Unfortunately, everything related to gameplay and story is done very mediocrely. The combat feels enjoyable, but only for the first two hours; after that, the repetitive button-mashing against enemies becomes irritating. Most of the dungeons are linear and look alike, and the story is just strange and uninspired. I was a bit surprised by how welcoming the game initially feels and how dull it becomes later on. It's a bit of a shame, really, because I actually started to like it at first.
Mucho estilo, poca profundidad
If you are interested in this game, I recommend buying on sale. Despite being visually appealing and having solid combat, there are long stretches of the game where you are expected to explore the poorly written world and interact with poorly written characters. ANNO: Mutationem isn't horrible, it just isn't worth the full price.
What's good: - Satisfying combat - Great art style - Fantastic animations - Very detailed world with a lot of different and well fashioned npcs What's not so good: - The side quests were pretty pointless and unrewarding - The writing is ehh..all over the place. Felt like it was slowly turning into complete nonsense. - During two scenes, they disable the washed out filter that's over everything, and it just made me wish there was an option to always have it off. That, and the insane level of bloom on everything. - The whole final act abandons any sense of cohesion and is stretched out for no fun reasons. - The character Raymond is just the Reddit Moderator soyjak meme with their hand up in front of their face. Another important character looks and acts too similar to him. 6/10 A great game with wasted potential, and bogged down by a lot of small annoyances
As much as I tried to enjoy the game, there was just so much long corridors, much walking, forced fights, and some of the bosses kind of pissed me off either too easy, too hard, or just unfair. The story was pretty decent but just ended up being confusing. I would recommend it to those who love cyberpunk themed games but not to those who hate decently difficult fights.
