Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.43/day in the week to Aug 11 → 6.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Originally I tried the demo as a joke because I've played so much FTL and fully expected this to be just a ripoff. To my absolute shock, this game turned out to be incredible. After purchasing the full game, this has been such a fresh experience. If you think this is just going to FTL again, it's not, it's more like FTL 2. Systems are expanded upon and there's a lot of depth. There is a really strong emphasis on crew in this game. Crew have archetypes, special equipment, psychic abilities. I am not joking when I say the crew in this game have more depth than even any modded FTL game experience you could have. Crew can be very satisfying to build and deploy, you can have crew that specialize in fighting in close quarters, some that are excellent at taking down tanky units, there are healers, hybrids, and more. In my opinion, this is the game's greatest strength. Also they incorporate a bit of a difficulty akin to Slay the Spire's ascension system that adds replayability on top of the plethora of ships (and commanders!) to choose from and unlock. I am telling you, if you really liked FTL, there's a good chance you'll love this. Also if you like 40k aesthetic, you'll feel right at home. I wasn't initially a fan, but this game has got me to really appreciate it. Phenomenal job, truly.

Short version, this is "FTL 2, Warhammer 40k". Ok. Its not EXACTLY FTL, its just a progressive space ship roguelike where you travel through a hostile galaxy, fighting other ships of increasing difficulty and building your ship and crew until you reach the BBEG. And its not EXACTLY 40k... its a future both grim and dark where the god emporer or mankind is suddenly... absented... and the imperium falls to fracture in a universe of hostile aliens and demonic entities led by chaos gods of various types... did I mention psychers? There are Psychers. If that's what you want, you will not be dissappointed.
There aren't many good Warhammer 40k games, yet this one is a very good stepping stone into the genre. It has good balancing and it is surprisingly polished. There are also many interesting systems like launching your enemies out of your ship and into the void of space by opening a outer door. Give void war a try!
This is a classic title that makes the system of simple yes or no to what is recommended...stupid. This is a game of extremes, there will be days you love it and days you hate it with all your heart. You will have to choose a ship, a commander with unique abilities and a series of crew members. The drama is the excessive randomness of meetings, gathering resources and possible choices. as I said before this translates either into great satisfaction or continuous swearing, forget about intermediate situations. the final bosses are ships with super abilities and effects that hit you without you being able to prevent it. too often the game, even if substantially enjoyable, leaves you with an unpleasant feeling of helplessness and over time you will learn to close games almost immediately which, halfway through, it is clear, will only lead to losing against the final boss. in short it doesn't deserve more than 7/10 to be generous, so get it with the discounts
amazing game
One of my favorite games of all time. The mechanics are incredibly deep, the game is well balanced and still getting regular updates, and it's WH40K theme is just the cherry on top.
I wanted a FTL sequel for so long and this scratches that itch. I love the theme, the gameplay, no complaints. Props to the devs for making a game I'll play for a loooooong time.
for the empire kill them all
I have had Void War for 1 week and managed to put 20+ hours into it as an adult with a full time job. This game is very fun and is very much inspired by FTL. As an FTL fan, this game feels like spiritual successor and even some of the skills transfer over. Void War also takes inspiration from Warhammer 40k, in aesthetics and vibes. I absolutely recommend this game. The devs have taken existing FTL mechanics and fleshed them out to a much greater degree, while also containing completely original mechanics and systems. The devs also have plans to further improve the game in the future. For the God-King
Great game, specially if you like FTL but this one is more involved with boarding. Developer keeps adding free updates which makes the game better and more varied every patch. Hopefully the dev keeps maintaining the game , i wouldn't mind bigger paid dlc :).
