Void War

The best parts of FTL and more, in a Grimdark setting. Frequent patches and new content makes this game endlessly replayable, and a decent challenge on the higher Torment level difficulties. Would recommend.

I have less experience of W40K but suspect the heavy influence. Very FTL-like, take that as praise if you are like me still a massive fan of that game and over 2k hours to prove it. Void war is not a straight reskin, the base mechanics is pretty close though with some good new features. The UI is slightly clunkier, but I reckon most features can be learned around. FTL can be modded quite heavily which might suit some people, this is a decent shout for those that who want to play out the box. Happy with my small purchase. GLHF.

40k with the FTL core gameplay systems, but tons of great additions and twists. Plays faster, more crew, way more options for ship boarding and crew combat, fun equipment, psychic abilities galore. Just very fun and fast, have immensely enjoyed my time with it.

Love it! I was instantly hooked. Looking forward to new content! If you like Warhammer 40k-esque Universes and FTL, it's a nobrainer

95 hours and still only unlocked as far as the Trilobyte … when everything is unlocked, I will be heartbroken. This game has been so absorbing, I feel like I’m becoming a cyberfused myself. Rightful praise has been heaped on this game already by those wise in the ways of evocative praise for build-variety intricacies and joyous microing, but adding one more recommend to the well-deserved heap. If you play this, please consider always pushing-on no matter how hopeless the situation may seem if Fortuna frowns. There’s lessons and resonance to be accrued especially then. ♦️🌑

Really awesome game! It's obviously got similarities to FTL but it's a lot different as well. The developers also been adding quite a few updates so it's been fun playing it until I put it down for a bit then coming back a few months later to enjoy the new content.
