After playing on stream for several hours I have to say this game has me hooked, and I'm looking forward to playing it again tomorrow! (Prior stream plans be darned!) The retro-future vibe is awesome, the music is bangin', the bosses are fun, and I can't wait to discover what else the game has in store. The developer hung out in stream for a while and was super friendly and open to feedback, which I really appreciate as well. I'm rooting for Void Resurgence, and am excited not only for content updates, but also to see what Puza Games comes up with in the future. :) Thanks again Puza for the opportunity to play this gem!
W game!
Fun and addictive like any 2D survival space shooter bullet hell should be. There's a free demo that there's no excuse not to try! I have only two gripes with the game: · The ship you control has inertia and acceleration. It's not a lot but it means you have to plot your course a second in advance lest you ram into a projectile attempting emergency maneuvers. It is a strange choice given the prevalence for snappy controls in most games in the bullet hell genre, and it means instead of careful micro movements, the player is encouraged to speed along past bullets only changing course slightly in order not to lose speed. If you stop, you need to accelerate again, which takes precious milliseconds. If you lose speed, you may not be able to accelerate fast enough to dodge the next hit either. · Build variety. It's hard for me to say the game has no build variety, because there are so many core systems (skills) and combos and very few of them are not viable, but of the 20 core systems you will have acquired 10 by the end of a run, roughly 6 or 7 are not worth the cost opportunity, and a couple others are meh, meaning that the variety is found not at the core of a build, but in its padding material. However, this means you'll rarely if ever get so screwed by rng you can't forge ahead and win anyway, making this game entirely skill based.
Fast paced bullet hell spaceship action shrink-wrapped in a nostalgic retro feel. Are there other games like this? Yes. Are they better? Maybe? But I like this game for it's simplicity and all the upgrade possibilities. It keeps pushing me to go further to discover more. Every time I play I'm starting to think I'm pretty good. With every upgrade you start to feel more and more like an unstoppable space-god-machine. Only to be crushed by a boss or swarm of enemies a few moments later. Then I realize how much further I can get the next time after upgrading my ship. The graphics have a nostalgic feel to it, somewhere between arcade and old flash games. Some minor critiscisms: The visibility on some enemies or projectiles like the lasers could be improved, sometimes you don't realize you are being hit. The in-game upgrade screen feels very abrupt (the game immediately pauzes which kind of breaks the flow). Perhaps slowing down time a lot (if possible), like a Matrix bullet-time, would be an alternative? So the player is forced to choose quickly. It would be nice to have an explanation of the power-ups when checking the 'unlocks' menu. The graphics are solid and consistent, but might feel a bit outdated for some people.
Dev is very smexy! Gifted me a key to try out his game and showcase it on my stream :D! I experienced very weird isolated bugs, which the Dev worked with me to fix and troubleshoot so I could enjoy the game to the fullest. Very Cool, Very Swag, Very addicting :-)
Straightforward, but fun. Could use more players, there aren't enough people going after these high scores. I'd like to see indicators where incoming spawns are going to be so that the edges of the screen were more usable, but otherwise it's a solid arcade style schmup experience, with some V:S style unlocks, upgrades and combinations.
Oyun akıcılığını ve görselleri beğendim. Denenmesi ve şans verilmesi gereken bir oyun. Tavsiye ediyorum.
