In this game, you are the bullet hell. Face off against 100 waves of enemies and bosses by collecting a deck of attack cards that activate in real-time to unleash destruction upon everything in sight. There's an insane amount of customizability leading to an infinitely replayable experience.

Pros: -Game is fun. Straight up, game is pure and good arcade bullet hell fun. -Controls are tight and precise, The speed of most things feels great. Fast enough to be exhilarating but not too fast where it's overwhelming or too quick to react. -Permanent rogue-lite progression tree is H U G E and also objective gated. You cannot grind money to become overpowered and cheese the game since nodes are locked behind needing to complete objectives that get progressively harder. You are rewarded for getting good at the game. -Graphics are really nice and customizable enough to fix most issues. There's way too much visual clutter by default but it only takes 2 or 3 sliders to have tuned everything i wanted to see to be vibrant and stuff i could ignore was removable entirely like the background or particles -Sound effects are peak. Punchy impact noises, the music was exactly what I expected, was almost ASMR-like when you have a good run and stuff is exploding. -Difficulty curve feels decent. I always felt like I was making progress and the skilltree made each new run exciting to try. Cons: -The ending. -The speed of enemies can be too high. Some ships fire their projectile the first frame their on screen making it easy to get sniped even without boosting, ships designed to crash into you can pivot on a single frame, some attack projectiles just appear without warning. They feel like HP taxes. -Boss fight balance doesn't make any sense. The boss order isn't guaranteed every run but some fights are disproportionately difficult relative to others. The hexagon boss with the panels can be a softlock if it's the first fight of an unlucky run and the penis laser ship has never hit me once and usually appears towards the middle of the game. -There's a graphical glitch on the main menu that inverts the colors and results in a flashbang considering the entire rest of the game is in dark mode. Spoilers I guess. Full disclaimer as well: Yeah, I am rather easily frightened/disturbed. I'm not lying nor trying to deny it. I also haven't continued playing to see if there's more to see after a full run. If there is, then I take it all back and the ending is great. The ending had no reason taking an Undertale inspired Photoshop Flowey horror themed final boss. I played for 12 hours over 2 sessions because of how addicting the game was, how charming the visuals were, how much fun I was having, and then I reached the final boss. Out of nowhere the game shifts from an arcade style bullet hell to a disturbing survival gauntlet and somehow even faster goes right back to normal. My biggest issue with this decision is that it's entirely pointless. Games that take horror turns are usually story based or have a reason where that twist enhances a core aspect of the game/narrative. Fabric of Reality has the most basic objective of "hit wave 100 to beat the game." It seems rather apparent that the dev played Undertale and thought Flowey was cool and wanted to do that in their game too almost copy paste. I'll even admit that it was a fun sequence in a vacuum, even if entirely unoriginal. But if I'm playing this game it's because of the game itself, not because I was trying to be creeped out for LITERALLY no functional reason. That's why I'd give Fabric of Reality a rating of: "a dodgy strip club"/10. Had a great night but got food poisoning at the end from something I probably spent a little too much money on.
got the game a while ago now, saw it in a ludwig video and thought it looked good. Bought it on sale really cheap, it was a bargain. It's a nice game to just chill with, play calmly when your alone and youll have a blast Def a thumbs up
I like this game but i have severe issues with it. It lacks in QoL and proper scaling. Most of the game you feel too weak. You are rewarded more for playing on easier difficulties, tech tree, although big, lacks more depth. I would love some more meta progression. BG is pretty, but you disable it because of clutter in later waves. Main screen color bugs bacause of that. But the core idea - I like it and I would love to see that game developed and polished more.
very good game you just gotta adjust some things on steam deck
As a Galaga lover from a young age, this COMPLETELY INDEPENDENT title is a lot of fun!! Think Galaga but in a Rogue-like gamemode with rhythm components. Absolutely great work from this dev and will look forward to more releases in the future.
Seriously a really fun replayable game, I've played and gotten to wave 50 on around 3 gamemodes already and unlocked a big bunch of the upgrade tree, though i haven't beaten a full run yet. It's definitely worth the buy.
Reached wave 70 on my first run. Could definitely sit there for hours playing this game i can tell that already. Nice Soundtrack, good Gameplay. Background can be a bit for the eyes over time but not too bad. 100% a game any Roguelike enjoyer should pick up. Will become addicted.
yes
Pretty mindblowing game design here, especially for the price. Reminds me a lot of Path of Exile both with its thoughtful game design and awful visual clarity due to flashy effects. If you're into space shooter score attack type games you could easily sink hundreds of hours into this.
