Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1/day in the week to Aug 24 → 1.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
As you turn the pages, you'll make choices, face down enemies, and grow. You can charge in with a sword in hand, talk your way out of danger, or simply ignore it and keep walking.
Every choice you make and every roll of the dice changes the way the world responds to you.

Every single one of the 300+ illustrations was drawn by his own hand. No generative AI was used at any stage. This game has a soul that can only be found in something truly handmade.
Elden Ring, Baldur's Gate 3, Dungeon Meshi — Beneath the fantasy worlds we celebrate today lie the gamebooks and tabletop RPGs that first gave them form.
Veritas Tales returns to that moment — to the true weight and texture of swords, sorcery, and rolls of the dice. Savor once again what we first called fantasy, on pages that remember how it all began.

Incredibly charming game; I'd love a physical edition of this game to come out as a fully playable book, but I'm even more interested in seeing more stories in this universe. From the art to the story and even the Ui everything put a smile on my face while doing my a and b side playthroughs. Those expecting a hardcore combat system may be disappointed, but that's not really the point of the game. This is a videogame version of a choose your own adventure book, so keep that in mind. Also PLEASE if Dragon's Crown ever comes to steam, (Plz Vanillaware) they better include a English version of Akuryoutou no Hihou. It was a Japanese exclusive pack in with Dragon's Crown pro that played (and looked) exactly like this. It would be awesome to finally get it in English as there's currently no way for the western fans to experience it. Personally had a lot of fun with this, big thumbs up; waiting warmly for the next installment.

A charming, beautiful game. The quest is relatively short, but there are lots of little nooks and crannies to explore (and secrets to find, if you have the patience). It also includes surprisingly deep lore for anyone who cares to dig. You won't find much to like here if you don't enjoy visual novels, choose-your-own-adventure books, or game books. But if you're a fan of those genres, you'll treasure this title.
Grew up with Fighting Fantasy books so this is a great throwback. Very charming and pretty game, though perhaps a tad bit too simple. Had a great time.
A nice little choose your own adventure game with gorgeous art. Story could be a bit better, or at least it has a decent start but kinda falls apart at the end. I don't know if the second main character would have a totally different story, which I would assume (I played as the warrior Havelock). Sometimes a bit frustrating when you don't know what you need and where and you can get yourself stuck if you don't have a torch or a lantern, for example. Also some encounters only allow one specific path to progress so it's somewhat annoying to keep trying until you find the one the game wants you to. But that's minor nitpicking, it's a short game but a fun experience all the way through. Glad to see something a bit different done.
This game is a treat in a world ruled by corporate greed and soulless slop. This game has true passion and heart. The art is gorgeous, the presentation is phenomenal, the characters are charming and the story takes some surprising turns. I would say it is perfect for people interested in exploring gaming as an art form. I bought it for a friend and he loved it, too! If you're even a little interested in this game, get it! It's well-worth its asking price and if you get it on sale, it's a steal!
First time playing a game book, it was a pretty solid experience. This isn't an RPG where your choices can actually change something. This is more of a script.
