About

After a record-breaking nap spanning several millennia, Kent finds himself in the year 10,000 with nothing but a stick and a dry sense of humor. Tired, hungry, and still employed, he will need to explore the unknown to craft the machines that will turn his broken space module into a self-sufficient base of operations. Prepare to craft to survive and automate to thrive.

Discover the wonders and the oddities of a vast, ever-changing world filled to the brim with fascinating flora, fauna, and climate events. Classify every animal, plant, and mineral in order to help you survive the passing seasons. Knowledge is your greatest weapon. But don’t try to use knowledge against certain animals, you WILL get eaten.

Use every material at your disposal to build your base. Start small by turning bone and wood into coal, machine scraps into sheets of metal, and slowly but surely grow your base into a full-blown resource-generating machine that can rival any factory in the world.

Even though Kent will be revived endlessly, that doesn’t change the fact that dying is a major drag. To not bite the dust constantly, you’ll need to gather and hunt for food, find new recipes, and polish your cooking skills. Building your own farms and vivariums is your ticket to a steady source of nourishment.

Expand your home base and create an automated system to allow you to streamline and optimize your productions while you are off exploring.

From vibrant jungles to desolate ruins, traverse post-apocalyptic Earth with your hoverboard, hang glider, grappling hook and more. It is up to you to maneuver with equal parts adventure and efficiency.

I would love to recomend this game but currently there are too many gamebreaking bugs that makes it impossible to play. - Arround the midgame when start having the dash and grapling whenever you dash the camera dont follow. - When you open crafters and storage the zoom in locks on your character and never zooms out even outside of the interaction which makes you character being able to move outside the camera view. - Whenever you attack multiple enemies at the same time all mobs and your character would freeze mid animation and would never being unfreeze. - When you access your inventory and would drop an item sometimes your game would just freeze and nothing would move anymore. ~ all in all pretty disapointing that those bug happen Now for the game itself , it has his charms but since it is riddled in bugs right now i would stay away from it for the time being.
There is a lot of fun to be had in this game, the exploration, the tech advancement, and to a smaller degree the automation. Kentum offers a fun and unique blend of survival, crafting, and metroidvania that hits on some of the best aspects of each of those genres. However each one seems to be just undercooked enough to leave you wanting and raise some grievances along the way. Survival is primarily keeping your character fed and some light environmental hazards which are mostly just annoying. But lying beneath there are some interesting food recipes that offer game changing buffs, which offer some incentive to cook a variety of foods. Crafting is ultimately the primary concern of Kentum, you gather resources so that you can craft all of the things. You will spend a LOT of time crafting, and unfortunately that means waiting. This to me was the worst part of the game, especially as you near the end game. You just wait and once you have unlocked all of the map, there's very little reason to continue exploring except to retrieve resources to further your crafting machines. Faster machines would go a long way here, the extreme discrepancy between how fast resources are produced and how slowly they are processed makes this really frustrating. The metroidvania part of this is surprisingly fun and pleasant. Traversing the map to find new resources, abilities and creatures was overall quite fun. My primary qualm here would be too many of the finds/secrets are just cosmetic unlocks (which cost resources to craft!?!) and the zones could be more balanced in terms of content. One of the zones is distinctly more fleshed out than the others. TL;DR - Kentum is a fun concept and showcase of how this kind of game could be great, however it feels incomplete for a full launch game. Perhaps given time, it will come to be a more complete package.
OBS: As Conquistas (Recuse Imitações) e (Me Alimente, Seymour!) Ficaram Bugadas ,ARRUMEM POR FAVOR Fora Isso Gostei Muito Do Jogo ,Uma Pena Parece Que Não Vendeu Muito ,Então Dificulta Ter Mais Conteudos no Futuro ,Mais Curti Muito o Jogo
Interesting game with lots of exploring and challenges. The concept and art style are really cool, I like them a lot. There are quite a lot of different enemy types and you have to learn their quirks to beat or avoid them. It's a bit grindy, but the automation is nice. Still, things take time and there are a lot of things you have to do, to keep up your machines. There already haven been some QoL updates in this regard and I hope the future brings even more. All in all a very interesting game.
Overall, I enjoyet the game. (I was lucky to discover it, when sprinkler had been introduced already) Let's start from good part: It came to my attention as pleasant surprise out of nowhere and I stared to play it right after that. You know, now game usualy pops-up in recommendation, when it's not even in the EA, and then you have to wait for another 2 years, before 1.0 comes. I like automation and survival, this one has really unique combination of genres. Also rare case, when upgrades makes impact and sense, a lot of them. I believe you can beat the game without majority of them, but it will be longer and more challenging. I like, that there is not much talking, though plot is fine, and it has humor in it. I like that there is plenty to discover, like pretty big map with with different bioms and almost everything you face, will drop something useful :) QoL is pretty good, when it comes to survival part. Also you can configure many thing before game starts, so you in control of coziness. Looking forward to co-op mode, so I can play it together with my brother. And there are several things which I would like to see improved (played on normal difficulty with extended lengh of the day to 60 min): 1 I would like to have more space for buildings, like 4 times or so, even if it's just more height. Because I had to rebuild my factory at least 3 times during the game. And it wasn't an optimization, I really uprooted almost all my plants and replaced them kilns, foundries and other machinery. And I ended up feeding them manually, space is really limited and late game components not only require pretty much of materials, but produced much slover. 2 Only 'living products' like animals and plants can have their yeild/speed improved, but what about all other machines? You need tons of smelting, so, I think, that at least: kiln, grinder, foundry and press should have similar upgrades too. 3 Half of automation tools were useless for me. Bots are stupid and feed only one targed until it's full, while others are starving. It takes to much space to split one conveyor into 4. There should be, at least, an alternative horizontal conveyer, which doesn't occupy space as vertical one. And alternative splitter, which has left-right output, or splits into 3 directions. 4 It would be nice to have overflow splitter, because if reciever is full, then object just drops on the ground. 5 It would be nice to have 'horizontal funnel' or grabber, which always grabs things from the ground, even if source-area is occupied with another machine 6 I would like to have an option to move a half of a stack, and not either all or 1. Adventure: 1 Every second combat move is weird, it hits only air, and not something like rock or enemy on the ground. 2 Small spiders are such nuiasance, they spawns, maybe uncontrollabily, and spam their atacks (and they are hard to hit), sometimes it feels too irritating. 3 Venom: last pretty long, and there is no antidote, at least it doesn't kill. Maybe, it's duration should be shorter, or taking potion, should also remove venom status.
Highly recommended, one of few games that hooked me deep and kept me playing for days on end. Looking forward to updates, I plan to do another playthrough once enough new content is added. I need to, as I forgot something before the extermination protocol! The fighting feels a bit tough at first, until you learn not to play it like a typical action platformer-- you need to use more evasion than brute force. Once you get the grabber, scooter, and especially the dash ability it becomes almost trivial to get around and defeat things. I love the art style and the creature designs (even if I hate some of them!) I wish all the robots played a bigger role, as I enjoyed their dialogue. There are a lot of things (little and big) that I can think of that I would love, to round out and extend the experience. And a couple bugs (not game breaking) that I hope get fixed. But overall I am incredibly satisfied with my experience with this game as is, and anything beyond now is just a bonus for me.
