this game has a very strange way of telling its story. seems pretty half baked but the gameplay is really good. ends on odd note, would have been nice to get a sequel but I'm pretty sure all the dev's were sold into slavery. sad face
7/10 Runs great on Legion Go, but better with a Mouse Remember when games were just cool fun? This game does! Vanquish is a great, non-stop action, old-school linear video game that doesn't overstay its welcome. In many ways it feels like the 3rd-person shooter cousin to Metal Gear Rising: REVENGENCE, and I mean that in the best way possible. Gameplay is fun and fast, with a little bit of a learning curve against bosses that have one-shot moves. Weapon selection is great, and the sci fi plot is just coherent enough to keep you moving. This isn't a masterpiece. It isn't a game that will change your life. But it is a good time. This game could easily be rated T instead of M except for the heavy dose of strong profanity. There is also a scene depicting suicide at the very end. Sam is the last protagonist I remember who tried to make smoking look cool.
